How are you being affected by the weather

Hey i live in Australia and right now we've got major flooding in north eastern part of the country due to a cyclone and killer heat down south 44 degrees cellsius which is about 110 farenheit.

Anyway my question is how is the weather affecting you in your part of the world( if it is) or any crazy weather stories you have post them here.

Well New England is big on fluctuation at any given time. Right now it's 7 outside though only a couple days ago it almost got to 40. We don't have the most extreme weather but you learn to deal with the mugginess and cold at the appropriate time.

When I was 6 or 7 in Rhode Island it was hailing once and luckily we didn't have school but you kept hearing incessant BANG noises on all the windows since some ended up being the size of popcorn haha. I know one of the neighbors got a cracked window from it but that's about it. Not exciting to tell but at the time it was quite awing.

Well, we've got so much snow here that it's kind of tough to move around. So far, it hasn't been too much trouble for me, I just grin and bear it. I do worry that I won't be able to pick Andrew up from the train station, since the only way there is up a huge hill. Still, he'd walk here with enough ease, I just like to be able to meet him at the station.

The weather isn't really affecting me just now. My city has been squashed by almost a foot and a half of snow, but that's not too unusual.

However, the weather is affecting my ability to watch the news. It is at times like this that you can really see that all that stuff the BBC and ITV spout about being 'UK Newscasters' is utter, utter, bullshit - they're ENGLAND news. I wish they'd stop pretending otherwise.

Anyway, the only news for days now has been about England's councils being retarded and unable to grit a few roads and runways. It's driving me mental. Israel, Gaza? Not as important as some city workers in Surrey who had some snow on their precious cars. The Prime Minister saying we're officially in a depression? Who cares! London's spastic bus service stopped for a day, and that is obviously far more important.

Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland have all been shat on with snow. But we don't matter, because we can cope.

I live south of Sydney (Australia) in a suburb known for it's temperature extremes compared to neighbouring suburbs. The heat is ****ing terrible, especially for my precious PC and gaming goods. I'm quite thankful for air conditioning, though it doesn't make working during the day any easier.

On the bright side I haven't heard of as many babies and old people dying this year's summer, but that just might be my lack of interest in watching/reading the news.

I've heard of some deaths just old people who unfortunately can't cope with the heat.

Since Las Vegas doesn't get much bad weather. We got a lot of rain the past 2 days. The only way the rain effects me is that my car does not have wind shield wipers. So I have to drive with rain pouring onto my wind shield. But you get used to that.

Here in the UK, it's actually been ok today, still very cold, but no snow at all. The last 5 or so days have been chatoic with the amount of snow we've been having, i've missed college 3 days in a row thanks to it, and a lot of people I know couldn't get to work, and if they did get to work, they were tolled they could go back home, so i'm predicting that must've been very frustrating.

I love playing in the snow, though

I'm in Canada (Nova Scotia to be exact), and we've had quite a bit of snow. We had gotten about 2-3 feet of snow in one storm, which was crazy by the way. The snow now, however, is beginning to melt off, which I'm more than thankful for.

It's actually not too bad up here on the Gold Coast weather-wise. It's hot but bearable.

It's hot and sweaty and its been that way since New Years, its cooled down a bit yesterday and today with the rain but I'm still in my singlet and boxers feeling hot and bothered. This type of weather gives me headaches and makes me feel queasy, need more reasons to stay inside anyway

i live in australia aswel its very hot wen u go outside its like jeeze

How am I being affected? Well, it is a nice eighty degrees. This is very hard on me, because I have to spend my time at the beach instead of studying or being depressed while stuck indoors from snow.

It is entirely too much to handle. I might need to find a new place to exist in.

I live dead center in the middle of Canada. (Manitoba to be precise.)

Basically, I freeze my balls off for a good two thirds of the year. Yup. In winter it gets down to -50C and up to 40C in the summer. OH BOY?!

I hear it shortens peoples life times... but really, it just builds character!

Well I don't know if many of you know or have experienced severe dust storms but we have been having quite severe dust storms of late which isn't unheard of in Australia being the driest continent in the world, but lately we have had some of the worst with strong westerly winds picking up the fine dust from farms in Western Australia and carrying it all the way out to sea almost to New Zealand apparently. How is this affecting us well not me personally but a lot of people with breathing difficulties and babies have been affected.

It snowed the other day here. It's supposed to get to almost 70F today. >_>

Ah New England, ever true to the old saying. "Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes; it'll change." All too true sometimes. That said, it is still a bit early for snow, even for us. Luckily it didn't stick.

Supposed to be a lot of snow this winter. I can't say I'm looking forward to it. Thundersnows are kind of neat though.

It's been raining a lot where I live. It's sort of bumming me out because we had to take down our halloween decorations. They were getting messes up because of all the wind that was blowing when it was storming. Hopefully, we'll have clear skies come Halloween night so I can take my little cousins out trick-or-treating. If not, I guess I'll tough it out in the rain.

It's also getting cold really suddenly, and then warming back up (when the sun decides to actually come out for a while that is). The sudden change in temperature is making a lot of people sick. I myself am having sinus problems (drainage, sore throat, watery eyes, etc.), and the flu is spreading. The regular flu, I mean. I know there are a few confirmed cases of Swine flu around here, but I don't know anyone who has it.

I've never seen snow well, actually when I was little, but I don't remember.

California weather sucks. It's super retarded. It's supposed to be fall, and just the other day it was blazi'n hot. I hate hot weather. It's musty, humid, sticky, and I get grumpy when it's like that. At least when it's cold, you can warm up by drinking hot cocoa, coffee (Chai tea Latte is my Favorite) or Hot Tea :3 when it's hot you're ****ed unless you go swimming, and I don't swim very much, because I can't. Not to mention, I have very sensitive skin, so I burn really easy. I tend to cover my arms (long sleeves or something light) and legs in really hot weather. Yes, hot, but at least I know I won't get skin cancer.

It seems like summer is taking over here. We have like two Summers, retarded Fall, and unbearably cold Winter. So, I don't have a problem with it for the most part, just hate the blazi'n hot I guess.

I live in England, so cold and wet weather usually. Baking during summer (since I'm not used to anything else).
I got used to the bad weather after about 15 years (¬¬), but the cold doesn't cut so deep anymore.

The news usually says about your country that they've been in troubles
because of the high digree of the heat it caused fires inside forests , it really looked scary
here in my country the temperature sometimes reaches 55 digree , could u imagin how the weather would be ,but usually during August so all the the time we stay home and air conditioners have to be ON
but we can bear it , coz we have the Desert climate which is sooo hot during summer and soooo cold and dry during winter , but Thank God we never had accidents or troubles caused by the wether , I almost hate winter and when it comes I hopefully start waiting for summer ,
Winter is so depressing season to me , I got used to summer since the wether is mostly Hot ^_^
I love summer and sunny skies though sometimes it burns me at noon hahaha

That sounds like Australia Himi we have very humid unbearable summers and dry cutting winters haha we have just hit spring and it already feels like summer temps are hitting into the mid thirties around southern Queensland and we aren't fully into summer haha I am used to the weather were I live as I was born and raised here so you do get used to it but I do prefer a dry summer day over a sticky summer day.

It rained yesterday; sadly I can count the amount of times its rained here this year on one hand. We rarely get rain, let alone storms, which is unfortunate because that's my favorite weather. I was so happy to leave the house for work yesterday, because the sky was completely gray, the ground was wet, and with the time change it was already becoming dark.
So this weather in particular didn't effect me physically really, it just made me really happy!

But generally I agree with Gypsy; California weather is so unpredictable. One day it'll be unbearably hot, then the next day you'd practically expect snow from how much the temperature dropped.
I usually do the same thing on sunny days; I cover up. I avoid sunburns like the plague. I'm one of those crazy people that you'll see with an umbrella outside on a sunny day.

Today I thought about taking a run during my Study time. My teacher said I could. So i step outside in my blue shorts(You cannot comprehend the awesomeness of these shorts)and it's freaking Freezing. So to make a long story short i don't run.
