Happy Holidays, everyone.
Just wanted to check what songs you play to mark the occasion. Specifically, that warm comfort food and holiday song that makes the winter outside less ugly and cold. I used to bring a plate full of stuffed Mushroom caps filled with sausage and oysters and, of course, Bourbon Bon-Bons. That was back when the Holidays were awesome.
And my songs were:
Carol of the Bells
Winter's Wassail
Holly and the Ivy
Bring a Torch, Jeanette Isabella

But I couldn't have this post without the following song:
EDIT:
Ingredients:
1 cup fine vanilla wafer crumbs(Nilla)
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup bourbon(get Maker's Mark, and don't ***** out, add that extra dollop)
1 tablespoons plus 1 1/2 teaspoons light corn syrup
confectioners' sugar, sifted
Preparation:
Thoroughly combine 1 crushed vanilla wafer crumbs, chopped pecans, 1 cup confectioners' sugar, and the cocoa. In a separate bowl, blend the bourbon and corn syrup. Stir this bourbon mixture into the dry mixture; blend well. Cover and chill for at least a few hours. Sift about 1/2 to 1 cup of confectioners' sugar on a cookie sheet. Shape small bits of the dough into balls and roll them in the confectioners'. Store in refrigerator in tightly covered containers. Make these a few days in advance for best flavor, and roll in confectioners' sugar again before serving, if desired. These can also be frozen for longer storage. Makes about 3 dozen bourbon balls. For an added touch, freeze them and dip them in some dipping chocolate from a double-boiler
I'm not giving out my Mushroom Cap recipe...top secret.
Oh, and Merry Christmas.
