Fast food shouldn't be banned. However, the nutritional facts should be posted where anyone can see them. It's not up to the restaurant to make the food healthy; that would become expensive, which in turn would hurt the profit margins and increase the costs. It would defeat the whole purpose.
I also know in NYC that it's law that all restaurants need to post the caloric content of meals in the menus. I think it's a start to a great idea, but I think that there should be more initiative to get more nutritional facts in place... by an independent third party. I can see McDonald's "scientists" telling us that you can eat 3 meals a day from them and lose weight.
It is however up to people to use a little common sense. If you don't know that a triple whopper with mayo and cheese is bad for you, you need help.
