Everytime i look at a DBZ clip its him charging up and exploding, i dont get the whole OTTness, i couldnt get into full metal alchemist either, same shit, doing a move/spell and the place around them blowing up with everybody showing omg faces, like its the first time its happened, yet it happens every episode from what i can tell ha

Yeah, both movies are great additions to the series and because they have limited run times, they cut out a lot of things that the original DBZ series gets made of repeatedly. And a point to the Super. They're on episode 9 or 10 I think right now, they still haven't finished the Battle of Gods movie content. The movie that was only 80 minutes long they padded out into 9 or 10 episodes and are still counting.
Gohan versus Cell still is my favorite from DBZ, when he transforms into Super Saiyan 2 and the Father-Son Kamehameha.
