Ah, the day that we celebrate how the white man had to resort to getting help from the natives because they were unable to survive on land they took from said natives. And we celebrate by gorging ourselves on enough food that could feed a lot of the starving people in the world.

But personally, I am thankful that I was able to catch up a lot of the work on my plate today, and was then able to put food on that plate. I am thankful that my body hasn't given out on me, despite the thousands of miles/kilometers, the one time I was hit by a car, and the one time I was bitten by a dog while bicycling.

But I think most of all, I am thankful that this is the last Thanksgiving that I will have without my Mom.
