A Sephiroth has more to do with God, oddly enough. I won't lie and say that I understand the Kabbalah, but as I understand it, a Sephiroth is an attribute of God through which he supposedly reveals himself to us. It's pretty deep stuff actually. Also, a Seraphim is at the top of the Angel hierarchy. I'm not sure why they named him as they did; perhaps because he was meant to be a representation of the god like ancients or perhaps they were just trying to be ironic. Who knows.
