    Also, being too young to watch a movie during it's original release doesn't mean anything, because literally everything is available for home video, and if it's a classic, you watch it. It's a classic for a reason. The only people who aren't into movies are probably too busy doing heroin all day.

    Anyway, if you really want to know what the Odyssey is, it's the sequel to the Iliad. I know you know what the Iliad is. Everybody has read the Iliad at least once.
    I googled this Iliad book, and it isn't one that I've read. Just because something is a classic, does not mean every person has read/watched it. That goes for every kind of media you can think of that mainly exists for entertainment reasons. I'm not too big on reading books, and that isn't going to change going into the future.
