2010 Member elimination sign ups

Well then don't consider it a word game per say but consider it a forum game like the FF trivia threads haha. Might give you a little justification in doing so hahhaaa and that way you won't feel bad about contributing to the WG/H forum heh.

Also I added both of you to the OP.

Edit: seeing there are more members competing this year then last year I do not think a poll for favorite TFF member will be done. Not enough slots for the poll.

EDIT 2: I would like to encourage newer members to feel free to sign up as long as you meet the minimum requirement to compete. This game is just for fun and in reality you never know which way it is going to go. Do not be intimidated that some of the older members are competing. All in all it is just for fun.

My only point was that this thread is not a discussion, it is just a sign-up for another forum. On the other hand, I just turned this thread into a discussion thread by pointing out that it isn't. /facepalm

It's not limited to just the sign up, it's also here for discussion about the actual elimination. It worked the same way last year. Only difference is that most of the contenders are repeats from last year or players from last year or they were players so the discussion has gone down quite a bit because they already have an idea how this elimination differs from other eliminations.

Also this part is not a game so there for I did not deem it fit to be in the actual game section of the forum and even though there is a little humor in this post it is not a joke so there for still doesn't meet the requirement to be in WG/H.

So with that said where else should I put this thread? If Ally or Violet didn't deem it fit to be in Gen chat then they would move it, which I am fine with.

Why'd you keep changing what you have wrote. I mean, it's the same thing but with minor changes. Not a big deal, just curious.

I saw the end of last years member elimination without having a single clue about what it was! =D

I've got a question. Obliterators basically write up a story about your death when they take the final point from you, right? Can they be both a participant while being able to do that?

This year the Obliterators are going to take on a little different role but basically their over all function is to kill off the member that is to be eliminated. This year there is going to be a twist on it though but I don't want to spoil all of the fun.

They don't have to take the final point perse (anyone can) but they do actually do the killing part. A member is not removed from the list until an Obliterator kills them. Think of it as they are KOed and waiting for death.

Like I said there is a twist this year but over all their job function is the same. I think everyone will like the rule change that comes along with the twist.

Yes Obliterators can also be a normal contestant.

I just wanted to know why the obliterators weren't participating in the actual game. I thought it was part of the rules.

Naa it was just personal preference. Last year Telegraph and Griff both played and I think at one point Telegraph had to kill of Griff haha. It made for some fun. Most of the posts from the Obliterators were pretty entertaining and I hope this year we can keep up the bar that they set and exceed it.

Yes I am. It is a new year with new members and the sole thing to remember is that it is a game none the less. Results will more then likely vary from year to year. So I figured why the heck not hah.

This elimination is going to be HUGE! I should of set a max number of members that can be in it heh. I will just have to adjust the points to compensate or this thing will run until this time next year!

Yes there is Alpha. I have been banking Gil since last year to give out as a prize. Sucks I can't give more but it come straight from my pocket (e-pockets?). Right now the final prize is unknown for the winner and the runner up but since the poll is not going to be a factor this year the gil will be shifted over to first place and second place in the eliminations.

Yeah, I took out Griff. Who took me out, though? I think I might've imploded in on myself, or something, if I recall, heh. I got second place, but I wouldn't say I almost didn't have to, because the votes were decidedly against me at the end, heheh (so much that Meier voted against himself to make it more interesting.)

I was thinking Meier would win again this year, but there is some heavy competition this year... Anyhoo...

I'm thinking Meier will win this. I remember last year it looked like I was going to win Staff Elimination and then Ann was like, "We all know Ally's gonna win!" and then everyone voted against me and she won. Sure showed her.

EDIT: As for where this thread should go.... If leaving it here (as long as the elimination thread is in WG) results in less drama... then okay. I don't really mind at this point, everyone's been treating this thread appropriately.

Taco it's funny that you bring it up. I just looked yesterday to see how you died and sure enough you imploded on yourself.

Also I would like to give a special shout out to Pete. As of this morning the over all prize for 1st and second place has doubled thanks to a generous donation of 40,000 Gil for this elimination! Thanks Pete!

How will the prize money be handed out? (You can't just send Gil, if I recall correctly.)

Also, it will have to be spent pretty fast, as the upcoming version of TFF will probably not have this feature.
