I am amazed that this has not been started...or at least not that I have seen.
Anyway, I just watched what I belive to be the first episode of Hellsing. I liked it but it seems to me that Alucard like most vampire hunters seems the same. Like vampire hunter D for instance has like the same jacket and hat, whats up with that? Whatever.
Father Alexander Anderson though, was the best charecter in the whole movie.(Although it was an episode I saw it on a DVD) He seems to have a split personallity if you ask me, he is all nice to the kids in his orphanage but in battle he is like a demon.
Anyway what did everyone else think of it? Did anyone else watch it?
Ah good spotting HUNK i loved the Hellsing series, yeah you do have a good point on the dress sense but they are still awesome Alucard would win hands down against D though for sure i would comment more but seeing as you have only seen one or a few episodes i don't want to spoil it for you.

Well I am now on the 6th OVA and now know why you didn't want to say Alucard was stronger. My question is this..."How is this a Vampiric power?" He does not ever look like a vampire anymore, its crazy.(Especially in the fights with Rip Van Winkle and Luke Valentine)
Anderson is still my favorite but Walter and Seras are starting to grow on me. I think Walter may die soon but I don't know.
Anderson has an entire army of paladins now, its awesome!
Well i see your point with Alucard but no he doesn't look like a vampire with the dogs and hundreds of eyes but he is so powerful because he can tap into the full potential of dark energy unlike all the other 'fake' vampires who have no real concept of the full potential of power, Alucard is a true vampire able to delve into the ultimate dark energy and i guess the dogs etc are his image or style that he chooses. I love Walter but i think Anderson is a bit of a weirdo you seem to be clueing on a fair bit so once again i will not say much more.

Just watched the 6th OVA and its the last one so far!!!! NOOOOO! Anyway, it was really cool but kinda wierd. I still don't understand why there are nazis involved with this but I wont ask.
Why do you think Anderson is wierd? Wait...never mind.
The entirety of section 13 seems to look like the KKK to me...its kinda creepy. However I still like the paladin divison controlled by Anderson. Alucard was stuck on a boat so really was not able to do anything but talk for a brief like 4 second clip.
One thing though, where did seras get the new gatling gun thing??? That really caught me off guard to say the least.
