Oh yeah.... I also forgot something too: Chinese characters are called Ideograms for a reason: They are connected to meaning, not sounds. A good idea, since there is technically no such thing a shared Chinese spoken language. There is Mandarin and Cantonese.

On another note, it seems that the studio is sure taking their sweet time releasing the Fire Chapter..... not that I'm complaining. It just keeps getting better. It seems more on par with an OVA than a TV show in quality... but I'm no expert and half-blind at that....

My guess with the delay is that the writer's strike caught up. I haven't researched it, but I would imagine their writers would be in the same union and I don't believe the strike has lifted yet.

Regarding the language, Chinese is a group of languages, this is true, but they share various traits as they are all part of the Chinese (I don't know its technical term) branch of the Sino-Tibetan language family. To simplify and generalize for a moment, the Chinese languages are about as close to each other as Spanish and Italian. Fairly mutually intelligable, certainly similar sounds, especially for those that don't know either language and would find spotting the differences challanging.

Korean, on the other hand, is an isolated language, but there is some evidence to tie it to the Altaic family that is spoken by the Turkic people throughout central Asia and Turkey. It's definately closer to those languages than it is to any Sino-Tibetan languages, minus loanwords.

That couldn't have been more off topic, but I love talking languages.

Umm, I live in Canada and we've had repeats for the last 2 weeks. Episode 14 is with the fire dragons is it not? We saw that episode 2 weeks ago. I assumed you guys were there with us. If not, that's really confusing. Either way, I'm not sure if we're continuing tonight (it airs in my time zone in less than a hour) with a new one or not, but we'll see.

So it's hit us too, whatever it is. I still don't understand why you guys didn't have episode 14 down there though. That doesn't really make sense. But oh well.

The final episode of Avatar The Last Airbender is finished and I loved the whole series, I'm sad that the series is over though. I can't wait for the final season comes out in two months to complete my collection. What a great way to finish the series, I loved every episode from the Aang in the ice through the scene where

Yeah, I liked that as well, but they left a few open endings in the series. I also feel they kinda ended it a bit too fast.

Like where is Zuko's mom? What was up with Aang taking away Ozai's bending? Can he give people bending in the same way? Wtf did the Lion turtle say to aang? I didn't really understand with the echo'd speech.

Yes the last episode of Avatar gave the series a good ending and im glad to know Zuko finaly became a good guy. For awhile(I missed a few episodes) i thought Iroh died or somthing....beacuse you dont hear from him for awhile but im glad he was ok. Iroh rules.

yea, it's really good that Zuko finally decided to be a good guy. he really started to kinda annoy me a little bit with his two sides or whatever. I mean c'mon, he needed to decide like 2 and partly 3 books that he is a good guy! but finally he's decidion is over. the best epizode was in book 3 when Zuko and Sokka went "fishing". lol

ya, I liked the ending but I think the show could go on. There are 4 elements like come on. Zuko asks were is his mother and they don't tell you and what happened to Azula.
I personally think they should make

Avatar Book 4: Air

In it, the villian would be Azula and she could have a secret little bad fire nation ready to attack. Meanwhile Aang could find another air bender like his parents or they can make that guru and airbender and he could learn more(also, he could sharpen up on water,earht and fire) It could have Zuko find is mom and Katara and Saka find there. Seriously, the show really didn't say katars mom "died" it just said that the fire nation took her.

And also, Aang's parents are dead. Aang is over 100 years old!

....Seriously. And Azula gathering up a small fire bending band?

Considering the fact that she snapped like a cracker, I don't think she's mentally capable of doing anything. And besides, she'd be locked up in prison like her father, or... hidden somewhere in a dungeon. Who knows.

I have to say that a show like Avatar only comes once in a life time. A show about people who can control the elements, a war that has raged for 100 years, a little kid surviving for those 100 in an ice block thing, and the crazy psycho Azula going on a rampage to prove herself only to disgrace herself in the end.

This series was very exciting, acceclerating, and just AHHH! It is a shame that it ended though, but the ending was spectacular!

I think an Avatar Rp should be made but i really cant start a new story right now. My brain is a bit slow.
