Has any actual gameplay footage been released yet? They need to put some of that into their trailers, not just story cutscenes. Although I must say, the cutscenes look excellent.

The main character dude looks like "Dark" Cloud. lol Not really digging the bishi look, however.

Judging by the trailers, to me, it looks no different to a new Final Fantasy game. I don't think it will be better or worse. My disappointment from FFXIII was based on its linearity, which I think is what its largest downfall was as a Final Fantasy game.

The whole game is much more darker than what we'd expect [from FF] I think. Noctis especially is rocking the dark, depressed look. It's going to be every emo FF fan's wet dream. xD

But yeah. I guess it's better to wait and see. Trailers look good for now.

OMG, finally someone who agrees with me!! I also have a feeling that Final Fantasy XIII Versus will be one of the best ever made!! But at the same time, I have a feeling that this will look more like a film than a game...that is, if the graphics keep on like that.

Noctis seems to be a mix between Lightning and Cloud, which is great!
And the battle system, in the trailer, seems great! They said the game will have a world map, with wide fields to explore ...

FFXIII Versus really seems more like movie, but i don`t have nothing against it. If the storyline will be awesome, just like the FF XIII had, then i would buy the game, just to watch it. Actually, i cant wait for this!

This main character is nowhere near the same as Cloud or Squall. It's been stated that he is nothing like everyone's favorite duo.

Their Kingdom Hearts gameplay was good so I'm sure this game will be better.

Looks freakin awesome. I personally think the original should be the spin off considering how incomplete it felt and Versus should be apart of the main series. It just pisses me off that we have been waiting for ages for just info on this games and XIII's sequel looks, for the most part, quite far into production.

I am extremely psyched for this game. Based off of everything i've seen thus far in trailers and screenshots, this is shaping up to be an incredible game. Honestly, i would rather Versus XIII over XIII-2 any day. Stop slacking, Square Enix, and deliver us the goods already!

I have a feeling this will be the redeeming final fantasy in the series. The FF that will impress as much as the ps1 series did when they came out. Although theres no denying that the charm that the originals produced could never be replicated, I think we will see something new in Versus.

She was based along the concepts of Cloud, yes, but had her own personalities that made her "Lightening". That doesn't make her an unoriginal character.

Yeah I only got a PS2 at this point. ;_; but this game makes me tempted to buy a PS3 of my own. I also dislike having to buy the PC version of games.

I think the game designers said that exact thing. They wanted to make a female version of Cloud.
Final Fantasy could always go completely "primal" and have a game where some kind of creature is the main character instead of human?

a main character who is actually wearing clothes

graphics that will leave you babbling incoherently

game play that is solid enough to keep even the most insane level grinder happy

and enough gimmicks to keep you busy until the next game comes out

Have seen some vids for this and in my opinion it LOOKS pretty impressive. I think the 'dark' look of the main character (I assume he is a main character) is good makes it more original than the traditonal FF characters of which most are pretty goody two shoes. Nice to have something different, but that doesn't mean I don't like the previous games cuz I do.
