Why does everyone seem to hate Justin Bieber?

Well I am a huge Justin Bieber fan, and that is not normally in my range of music tastes. Though I like just about everything. The only thing I can't stand is when people call him gay or a fag**t Why not just focus on the music?

I mean, if you don't like Justins music, fine, that's fair, not everyone
likes the same thing of course. But why not attack him on something that, I
don't know, makes sense? Why bring his sexuality into it? It's
ridiculously homophobic, and it's like grown men talking about a...16-year-olds balls is in no way homoerotic riiight?

So views on him if you have bieber-fever or if you hate him. All is open.

I don't like his genre of music (auto-tuned whatnot) because it just doesn't sit well with me. The Biebs himself, however, I don't really have an opinion. My friends claim to have seen videos he made himself and that's he's a good satirist, but I haven't seen them myself so I just keep a neutral opinion of the guy. Not like I'm ever going to meet him/have known him enough to judge.

Yeah its more his music for me. Its just not the sort that i like, maybe because i'm a guy although that said he has male fans too...
Another thing i don't understand is that guys like him come around every few years, they're super popular, all the teenage girls like them, and then they get replaced a while later by a new guy/ boy band. Although to be honest i can see Beiber hanging around for a while longer than some others.

Apologies to all his fans out there that aren't 'teenage girls' i just associated his popularity with them.

I have a hard time saying I'm a full blown fan, but I don't hate him and his music is bearable. I have two of his songs on my ipod, does that make me a fan?

I decided that I should listen to a few of his songs and see what I thought of him. I'd already heard a clip of his rap song where he disses Tom Brady, and that was hilariously stupid. Something about a "sacker?" WTF does that even mean? And he's referencing Brady, a QB.

Anyhoo, his other stuff... While the lyrics are rather simplistic, the music is kinda catchy, I must admit. I'm not crazy about his voice, but I could probably listen to it for a couple songs before demanding to listen to something else. I don't dislike him as much as I dislike Usher, for example.

Anyone catch him on SNL, though? Allegedly he had three skits where he sang, and the cast members were trying not to laugh at him, because he was never in tune with the music. I watched it and it didn't seem that terrible, but he was kinda off key for most of it. I also thought his acting was kinda bad (I only saw the classroom skit where he hit on the teacher.) Anyhoo...

I really don't care much about the guy, to be honest. Doesn't exactly mean I have to be a jerk about it, right? I've seen how they make fun of him on TV, like on South Park, for example, and honestly I just think the way he looks or even his popularity easily make him a target for all this hate.

Have never, ever listened to his music (I'll leave that to the teenage girls and the occasional dudes), but I won't disrespect the guy. It reminds me of the things Michael Jackson "supposedly" did while he was alive (which I didn't really believe). People are just crazy and hateful and will even target celebrities to satisfy their evil urges. I'll just ignore their gibbering and hopefully Bieber will do the same.

I don't think it's so much as hate, but more of a jealousy. I am not a fan, but I don't hate, or dislike him, and I think he deserves what he is now.

I have heard people make really ugly remarks toward the kid, and it really upsets me, because they know nothing about him, and still they make their judgements. I don't know much about him ether, but when i ask the people who make the judgement's how they know this, they either say "Well I just know, or because that's what i think" Which sickens me because most of them are middle aged adults who still don't understand the difference between thinking, & actually knowing from proof, or evidence. (Or this just leads to my point in my first sentence.)

If I was the kid I would say something like this when i get hate mail from others.

Hate mail comes in ----> I will never be a fan of yours blah blah blah, your such a blah blah blah, and a blah blah blah!

Then message him back saying----> Well obviously your my biggest fan since you know everything about me, and your sending me hate/<3 mail.

Haha that's what I do when people send me hate mail on xbox live, and I rarely hear back from them after that.

When he stops being a teenager, then people will stop giving him a hard time. Teen pop is not generally a favored genre for anyone other than that demographic, which is fine. It's always been like this, and will continue to be like this. Teen lifestyles change every generation, and teens will always be underestimated by the preceding generation. I always give my 14 year old cousin a hard time for having an iphone 4 that she uses for literally nothing except to text her friends about the Beibz and text and her mom about a ride home. C'est la vie. One day she'll be able to join the club and make fund of the next teen pop sensation (hopefully with an equally catchy nickname)

He may have musical talent, as he plays piano, drums, and guitar, and his singing isn't low quality, but I believe people hate him for the way he got famous, through youtube.

To me, he can be a better singer.

I don't like that genre, or any similar genre because I prefer musical harmonies,, but that's just me.

Well it looks like I was right, I figured people on here would have enough sense or brains to comprehend that if you don't like them it doesn't make them gay or a fag.

It needs to be about the music: for example Nikki Minaj, I don't like many of her songs but I do like her as a person.

Justin Bieber is a 16 year old kid, who got discovered by Usher on youtube. It could have happened to any of "us" who put themselves out there. What I feel worse about is his girlfriend Selena Gomez. She is so sweet and adorable yet she gets death threats everyday from crazed female fans. All that aside, I now feel a little better about the world. XD

i think the kid s very talented and hes gonna be around for a long time, but too much spotlight makes anything or anyone go from interesting to annoying.. its not his fault its the media... every pop magazine has his face on the front cover, radio stations talking about his hair, celeb gossip shows are all in his love life talking about who hes kissing etc.... i mean theres just too much.. but like all things, like the jonas brother, like taylor swift, like paris hilton, like the twilight (the movie) cast, like the octo mom, the media will shy away a bit once the next big thing/story comes along....

I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with him, to be honest. I'm not a fan in any way, shape or form, but I'll back him up. Admittedly, I've found a few Facebook pages about him to be funny, but he's cool in my books.

It irritates me when my friends really do show their hate for him on Facebook and Twitter though - most of the friends that do this are over twenty years old, and they're going that low over just a kid. He's only like... sixteen years old, having the time of his life and making a life for himself in the future without being overly annoying about it (*cough*RebeccaBlackandWillowSmith*cough*). If anything, he is pretty admirable.

He isn't the first person to get famous through Youtube, and won't be the last. So I'm going to put it down to his age instead of it being about Youtube.

Like every other group or artists 12 year old girls become obsessed with, I don't think it's the musician at all. Where there are brainless fans, there will be brainless haters. It's just a fact of pop culture. Nobody gives a damn who he is or what he does in his free time, just that he's had alot of success, has seemingly very little talent, and has become absurdly popular because of it. It's no different than all the crap people used to say about the Jonas brothers. And just like the Jonas brothers, nobody will ever mention the kids name when some new kid shows up and steals the hearts of 12 year old girls around the world. And the same will happen to that kid, and so on, and Yu Yevon's Spiral of death will consume them all.

Calling him a faggot is an insult to the gay community. Not a fan of him or his music, I don't really like the whole auto tune business and mundane, repetitive lyrics - just another tool who won't be remembered very well in ten years. And seriously, wtf was the point of making a movie with him in 3D? So you could see his hair flip up close and personal? Complete waste of good technology.
