So if you listen to metallica, what's your favourite song by them. Mine is "Wherever I May Roam". It's an awsum song.

Either Ride the Lightning or For whom the Bell Tolls. Y'know, back when they were still making thrash and, errrrrr, actually good.
"A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject."
Winston S.Churchill
I'll definately have to go with 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' and 'Don't Tread On Me'. Like Smurphy said, back when they made good music. They've come a long way over the years, but you have to give them some praise for making some decent albums.

Sad But True
so many to choose from
for whom the bell tolls is a classic thou
Mine will always be Creeping Death. Such a great song, good lyrics, awesome guitar riffs.
I'm gonna have to go with "One" on this. It's got that slow melodic build, and then just explodes in awesomeness. The video is also incredible, and really should be seen to get the full effect of the song.
SOLDIERcHoSeNCrao Porr Cock8- Rebels, Rogues and Sworn Brothers
I'll go with "Some Kind of Monster" off of St. Anger, because I like things that suck.
I have a few Faves...
Through the Never
Harvester of Sorrow
No Remorse
The Thing That Should Not Be
Lots of others, actually...
ohhhh to hard to pick one but id have to go with orion epic as shit
Son of a Submariner! You'll pay for this!
Fade to Black, closely followed by The Four Horsemen. Though I like just about all of their stuff, excluding St. Anger.
One, Master of Puppets, Unforgiven, Unforgiven II, Nothing Else matters, For Whom the Bell Tolls, all great songs.
For Our Lord Sheogorath, without Whom all Thought would be linear and all Feeling would be fleeting. Blessed are the Madmen, for they hold the keys to secret knowledge. Blessed are the Phobic, always wary of that which would do them harm. Blessed are the Obsessed, for their courses are clear. Blessed are the Addicts, may they quench the thirst that never ebbs. Blessed are the Murderous, for they have found beauty in the grotesque. Blessed are the Firelovers, for their hearts are always warm. Blessed are the Artists, for in their hands the impossible is made real. Blessed are the Musicians, for in their ears they hear the music of the soul. Blessed are the Sleepless, as they bask in wakeful dreaming. Blessed are the Paranoid, ever-watchful for our enemies. Blessed are the Visionaries, for their eyes see what might be. Blessed are the Painlovers, for in their suffering, we grow stronger. Blessed is the Madgod, who tricks us when we are foolish, punishes us when we are wrong, tortures us when we are unmindful, and loves us in our imperfection.
To right mate to tell the truth that video sends shivers down my spine every time I watch it and the song is such a classic like you said slow with a brilliant build up. Contrary to belief but that is a movie made from multiple stories that were told by soldiers and isn't based on real life event, and the song is based off that movie. Correct me if I am wrong
Nothing else matters would be my top one, same thing slow tempo and beat with small crescendos.
Enter Sandman takes the cake as well, it is one of my preferred fast paced songs of theirs.
I like their oldies like Kill Em All and Master of Puppets because I love the guitar riffs.
Shit how could I forget the song that started their saga for me Justice for All- strong lyrics, strong rhythm great song.
Also you have to check this clip out Metallica singing Enter sandman live is Moscow with a f***ing amazing crowd. What I would have given to be there.

Crao Porr Cock8, Go and get a Cock8 up ya.
The finer details of a signature:
No Leaf Clover. For some reason, a full symphony orchestra behind electric guitars makes me cream in my frilly, polka dotted speedos.
Other than S&M, I can't say I cared for Metallica. Megadeth and Slayer were much better Bay Area Thrash IMO.
No Leaf Clover was awesome, surprised I forgot to mention that one. I loved S&M.
