I really wouldn't call Waking The Fallen a gothic album. It was more Metalcore-ish. But a good album besides.

Has anyone seen the DVD 'All Excess' (SP?)? It is really good, and you learn a lot about the band. And it has their cover of 'Walk' on it. It's funny too.

I think they did a very decent job covering "Walk"
you've got to know what you're doing with a Pantera song anyways, or else you'll get a bad rep.
They're supposed to do "Paranoid" from Black Sabbath, I've heard.

As for Metallica cover, no way. They've already done covers, and I feel it wasn't one of their strong points, I mean Walk? They pretty much did everything exactly the same? If I wanted to listen to something that sounded so much like the original I would listen to the original.
Anyway I can't wait to see how this new album sounds, I've already dl'ed the first single they released.

I feel the same abuot cover songs. I jsut feel that it's showing respect to bands they admire or feel helped make the 'genre' what it is. I wonder what strange twists they'll pull for this album. By strange twist, I mean any strange song, cuz I'm sorry but "Dear God" was just strange. I'm not too sure if I'm digging that song.

i love metallica they are my fav band but that solo was short but still as good if not better than anything kirk hammet comes up with...

Avenged Sevenfold is the shit they are possibly one of the greatest bands ever and they will be around for a long time.

My favorite songs include: A Little Piece of Heaven, Scream, Brompton Cocktail, Gunslinger, and Unbound...

They are great and I cannot get enough of em!!!

A Little Piece of heaven is a relatively unknown song, well at least where im from. Regradless of its popularity it is still one of my favorite songs by A7X.

I actually got to see them live in concert, single best experiance of my entire f*cking life. It was better than when I got to meet Chuck Liddell, and Forrest Griffin...

hmm this is a very old thred lol........... So whats everyone think of there new album?
I was so sad to hear that the rev died last year. my ex gf went to see them last month in st. louis and she said they were amazing even without the rev. I think my fav album was the self titled one.... nightmare was great till i herd the songs that the rev was singing in and they made me wanna cry cause of the lyrics they were singing.... it was almost like they were telling us what was about to happen to him....... but anyway i love this band and i love everything they are doin.... i still need to see them live though....
