All of them have dark elementes, are deep and make you to think. The characters are interesting, developing during the suries and realistic enough to understand their motives. The plot is interesting as well, twists, angst and etc.

I recommend Elfen Lied! It's probably one of the most enjoyable animes I've watched. So much nudity and gore =.=; Ah, definitley not suitable for youngsters.

For my recommendation, I will continue my unwavering support of Gensomaden Saiyuki and it's successors, Reload and Reaload Gunlock. Truely the most realistic character interaction I've ever seen. A surprisingly good plot as well for something so simple.

Nobodies mentioned it but it is one of the best Animes I have ever seen: Berserk. It is set in feudal japan, kind of similar to the first few episodes of Kenshin, it has a lot of blood and warrior themes. And I think Clouds buster sword was based on Gatts huge sword. Anybody who has seen it can tell you it is definatly worth the watch.

I saw the adverts for it on Cartoon Network and it looks rather stupid, I won't go into it but yeah. I am thinking of scoring some DVDs soon, Currently I am watching FMA and Gundam Seed, and occasionally Ghost in the show: SAC. I also will probably buy the Berserk: Vol 4 DVD. I will probably but FMA but if there is anything else I should check out I am willing to give it a look.

I just started watching Naruto recently, and a friend has sent me episodes 1-50 in Japanese w/ English subtitles and I watched them all in no time! This is a seriously addicting anime with great use of humor, action, and drama all in one. Plus... IT'S ABOUT NINJAS!!! Can't beat that!

You should definitely check out Samurai Deeper Kyo. It reminds me alot of Berserk and Ninja Scroll, yet with cleaner graphics. Actually, I believe the same guy who does Guts' voice in Berserk does Demon Eyes Kyo's voice in Samurai Deeper Kyo.

Anyway, check that out. It's good.

I've only see maybe three or four anime series', so I can't really recommend a whole hell of a lot. I'm not going to bother mentioning any of the movies, because.. uh.. I dunno. Anyway, my favorite anime at the moment is Fate/Stay Night. It is probably the most beautifully drawn anime I have ever seen.

Neon Genesis Evangelion was... okay. I didn't really enjoy it, but a lot of people seem to. I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned it, I just scrolled through the listing quickly.

Let's see. I just started watching Chobits and I'm on episode 4, but it makes me laugh enough for me to recommend it. Light-hearted and not very serious. And they talk a lot about internet porn sites. I'm fairly sure people would enjoy it.

I would defiantely recomend Trigun and Ruroni Kenshin. Two of my favorite animes of all time. There's also Hellsing, and .hack Sign. That's it for now.

If you're referring to One Piece, which I'm pretty sure you are. Of course the ads on Cartoon Network make it look stupid, because the English version is TERRIBLE.

Normally I'm not that crazed Anime geek who complains about a little missing blood or how the Japanese voices are SOOOOO much KOOLER!

But seriously forming an opinion of OP based off the dub is like saying Mario games suck because you've seen the movie or Zelda sucks because you've played the CDI games.

If you're up for a good read, this is a really thurough essay explaining WHY the OP dub sucks so bad and it's definetely more than voices and lack of blood.

I can't stress ENOUGH how good of a series One Piece is. It's so popular in Japan BECAUSE it's so good and original, and fresh. Not to mention Kaizoku Fansubs produce some of the best fansubs for ANY Anime I've ever seen.

I dare ANYONE to watch the first 40 episodes (yeah it sarts a LITTLE slow for some people) and NOT be convinced to watch anymore.


Of course one of my other favorites is Azumanga Daioh.
