    Transformers 4

Well the good news is Shia has left the cast and is being replaced with Jason Staham. Michael Bay wasn't going to do the 4th movie, quoted Shia, but looks like Mike is back in for his final Transformers. However he promises this time it won't be as similar as the first 3; Idk how serious we can take him for his word though.

I grew up with the original 80's cartoon series so I can't stress how much I hope these get better. Can't say Bay has done these films justice but at least we're taking a step in the right direction in casting Staham. My biggest wishes are that we see some Constructicons aka Deva mother-f***ing stator(or was that piece of crap whirly twirly sand worm from the 2nd movie supposed to be him?), maybe some Dinobots, and get rid of those new comic-relief bots.. It's pretty obvious that Galvatron(re-vamped Megatron) will make his debut finally.

Anyone think there's a director that could actually give this franchise it's proper dues?

If you grew up with the 80's cartoons, then how can you have any faith left in Bay after what he has done so far??

Also i heard Bay is now also ruining another childhood series for me so dont know where hes finding the time and excrement to shit all over 2 franchises in a short time period.. the teenage mutant ninja turtles, although i heard hes making them aliens and not mutants, Teenage alien ninja turtles... See?? already ****ed that series up too...

Guy needs to go back to making porno as his movies are incoherent psycho babble..

The fact that there is a fourth is testament to the fact that originality is dead. Absolutely dead. I really hoped it would just be a trilogy. I was naive enough to believe it but I was clearly wrong.

Just gotta step on my hopes and dreams ehh?.. hahhah Yeah, just gotta wait for Bay to disappear before the world can mend itself and probably just start anew in another 20-30 years.
Luckily TMNT had 2 awesome movies released from the get-go.
I don't understand Bay's hysterical tyranny at all. When these show's were hot back in the day he was around the age of 25 and unless he was a really late bloomer, wasn't a die-hard fan of any of these classics. This guy is a real poseur and I wouldn't even wish his torment on the Care Bears.

    Re: Transformers 4

They tried something new with season 3 of the 80's cartoon and it didn't go so well. To be honest these movies have really been about giant fighting robots, even more so than everything else Transfomers, so if the do decide to go off the beaten trail a bit who knows what it may be like.
Having Galvatron show up was be a nice touch though.

I'll probably go, if not for the film itself but for whatever new Autobots/Decepticons they decide to introduce only piss on whatever fond memories we had of them. I was quite disapointed they didn't make Shockwave the main villain of 3, it would have been awesome to see him again. He only had like one line too and it wasn't even Corey Burton who spoke them.

Is there any reason Shia's not gonna play the part? Does that mean they'll ditch Sam as a character or is everyone just gonna pretend the new guy was there the whole time.

Well the word is that this time he wants to go back to the roots of Transformers by making it focused mainly on the robots and not the humans.
That's what bothered me with the threequel to be perfectly honest. I didn't want to see a soap opera full of emotional baggage and love stories when the motto is supposed to be "More than meets the eye/Robots in disguise!" So I'm not sure if they cut most of the cast out but Jason Statham will be a better hero than Shia. If you don't know, check out any of the 'Transporter' or those 'Crank' movies. You'll be assured he's hardcore.

So supposedly they're going to be cutting out the jokes, not give the humans majority of the screen time, and add more action. So get ready to see a CGI transforming laser war I supposed. This gets me pretty excited actually.

In my honest opinion, season 3 was fantastic! Added tons of new characters, properly sequeled the animated movie, and the varying episode themes were off the wall.. *Remember that eps where the the Decepticons tricked Galvatron into going to that insane-asylum planet where he was subdued with that electro-shock therapy cage because he was too intense of a leader for them?*
At least Shockwave got to tear down buildings in T3 and was a real threat. If that was Devastator in T2, ..all he did was play in the sand then that guy threw a screw-driver in his mouth or w/e and he died.

And for everyone wondering why Bay won't go away, I'm thinking this is the reason to do a fourth movie.

    Re: Transformers 4

I'm pretty sure one Transformers was enough, considering that 2 and 3 where horrible. Michael Bay is decent at putting out something original. I liked Bad Boys, Armageddon, The Rock, The Island, but when it comes to putting out any sort of sequel, he's unoriginal and boring.

I want Thundercracker to be part of the Decepticons, so that Ratchet can come along and jump-kick him into a tree. Just like the good old days.

    Re: Transformers 4

Quite frankly, I have very low expectations for this. The first film was great, I really enjoyed it. The second film was absolute crap. It was a complete and utter mess, not just the story, but the acting was terrible. Especially Megan ****ing Fox (I really don't see the appeal with her, and why she keeps getting work). When I heard she was dropped from the third film, hope was restored. Then it was brought crashing down after watching it. Again, it was a pointless mess.

I grew up on the original animation, and I am still a hardcore Tansformers fan. These films do not do very well in appealing to fans like me. It's aimed at people who think 'WOW GIANT ROBOTZ, OO AND LOVE STORY TOO. WOW EXPLOSIONS'

I think a successful film in this franchise needs to focus a lot more on the title characters, ie the Transformers, not the boring human characters. I think Sam worked in the first film, but the focus was on him way too much in the other two films.

So yeah, very low expectations. Plus the fact that all my favourite Transformers are now dead has destroyed my hope in the series. Also, as much as I like (I will only say like) Jason Statham, I think this will be crap. I will likely still watch it though. Hopefully, like Amazing Spider-Man, this will manage to be great. Hopefully.

Welp, time to hire an assassin.

First he left, then he claimed it was going to be a reboot, now he's afraid someone might "screw it up."
I understand it was the highest grossing tri-quel of all time but he seriously went about it the wrong way and wrecked my childhood and continues to plague us! This cash cow needs to go. Anyone know any good hitmen?

The first one is pretty epic in my opinion, other two not so much, still entertaining though. Can't say Bay shat on my childhood (he will with his version of Ninja Turtles, I'm certain) as I never held original cartoon show in high regards. I recall it being pretty much save the day from evil Decepticons type of deal, nothing overly brilliant, so I'm not really touched with what Bay does (perhaps my soul was crushed by all those horrible video game movies by now that I don't feel a thing anymore). Nevertheless, I don't see a point in making a new one, I already know it will be all flash no substance.
