    Childhood favourites

What cartoons do you remember the most from your childhood?
The three i can think of off the top of my head are:

Pokemon. i had all the games, collected all the cards and watched each episode religeously. i guess that's what you get when you grew up with a series. the 1st series was the best in my opinion. Not that i've watched enough of the others to judge >.>

Yu-gi-oh. I remember the Yu-gi-oh phase in school. suddenly this was the coolest tv show/card game ever. it was replaced by something just as quickly if i remember....

Transformers. i dont know the exact name/series other than it had animal-robots in it (what more could a kid want? ) Still, i had all the toys/ comics etc.

Like you, it was Pokemon and Yugioh for me. I managed to catch quite a few of the first season episodes, and a few after that of miscellaneous regions, but the games were what got me started on the anime.

Yugioh caught my attention because, even as a kid, I was interested in Egyptology. This just fueled it on. ^_^

In my early years it was Transformers. Even had all the toys and would spend hours moving the parts to make a vehicle then the giant robot again. And then when I got older I was heavily into Pokemon, Digimon and Cardcaptors. I was a bit too old by the time Yu Gi Oh and Beyblade arrived.

    Re: Childhood favourites

Oh, I watched a lot of X-Men too, back when it would play on Fox Kids. I was a huge fan of Storm, though she seemed to faint a lot after using her powers in quite a few of the episodes, at least from what I remember.

    Dexter's Laboratory was another show I watched, and I loved everything about it. There were other Cartoon Network shows that I would tune into as well, but Dexter's Lab was by far my favorite. There's some later episodes though where the animation looks like it shifted a bit, and Dexter doesn't sound the same... His voice actress retired though, so that's a good reason why. ^^;

Going waaaay early into my childhood, the shows that stick out are Muppet Babies, Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics, Care Bears, David the Gnome, and Eureka's Castle.

Spider-Man, Pokemon, Ranma 1/2, and Yu-Gi-Oh! I also loved to watch a lot of things back when Cartoon Network was cool, like Johnny Bravo. Ah, those were the days.

    Re: Childhood favourites

Nobody's mentioned the Disney Afternoon yet, eh? Well, that entire block was quite a chunk of my childhood viewing. Gummi Bears, Ducktales, Talespin, Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, etc. Those were my favorites. Some of the shows they showed on that block were pretty damn lame though, but those were mostly in the later years. Quack Pack was the worst though. Could not stand it. Also, Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs were pretty awesome, over on the WB side of things. Tiny Toons didn't age as well as Animaniacs did, but I still love it. I think.

There was also this short-lived series called "Captain Bucky-o-Hare" that was pretty awesome. I used to own all the toys, but now all I have left is the big ape guy. Nostalgia. Peh. Who needs it? .... Of course, there was also the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Sonic SatAM (the spinoff comic of which I read to this day.) Also, Batman: The Animated Series was pretty sweet, and X-Men. Oh yeah; and Eek! The Cat, Rocko's Modern Life, Ren & Stimpy, the Angry Beavers, Ren & Stimpy (going over into Nicktoons territory).

A couple cartoons I was very small when they aired but found and watched anyway because my older siblings had liked them were Transformers and Robotech (a cartoon show made of pieced together animes). Anyone remember Pirates of the Dark Waters? That show was pretty cool, but seemed to have gotten canceled halfway through. Visionaries was a cartoon based around action figures, but the episodes I've seen in recent years I actually thought were pretty clever and funny (mostly involving the bad guys.)

Oh, and last, but not least (well, maybe) The Samurai Pizza Cats! They've got more fur than any turtle ever had... Go look up all the ones you don't know on google or Youtube, fools! Or else you will be OBLITERATED. Anyhoo...

He said it all, those were all my favorites as a kid, gonna throw in Doug, Beast Wars, and Hey Arnold. Also there was this one show where the dogs would jump in these machines and turn into a humanlike form of themselves (for the love of god I can't remember the name), there was one dog always strapped because he was too wild, love that dog.

Pokemon, Digimon (LOVE IT), and Yugioh came when I went into High School, so about in my teens I suppose (man I feel old) Although I only like the first season of each, after that, they started to get real corny.... especially Yugioh. Once they started making different versions of it, I just stopped watching it... No Yugi or Kaiba... nope goodbye

Silverhawks, Thundercats, Transformers, GI Joes, Fragglerock, Doug, Prince Valiant, Ducktales, Talespin, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Masters of the Universe, Darkwing Duck, the Tick (though... the Tick really falls into more 'adult' cartoons like Family Guy etc)... that's enough to qualify me as old already, haha.

Later on it was Dragon ball Z, Dexter's laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Courage the cowardly dog, And pokemon, I was breifly into Yu-gi-oh. But it just got weird. Like. Really weird.

Basically anything they used to put on Cartoon Network. Stuff like Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken etc. Then later on it was all about Pokemon, Digimon, Tenchi Muyo and Gundam Wing. I wouldn't watch anything else.

Cartoon Network, Nickelodian, and RTL II, anything on those channels, really, but most noticeably Darkwing Duck, Pinky and The Brain, The Simpsons, X-Men, Dexter's Laboratory, Freakazoid, Johnny Bravo, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Batman, Yogi Bear, Tom and Jerry...

As for anime series, Captain Tsubasa, Candy Candy, Dragonball & Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, out the older ones I can remember, later one it was Digimon, Pokemon, Shin Chan, Detective Conan...

    Childhood favourites

I am not ashamed to say it, but as a child I watch every single episode of Sailer Moon. It was the first show that I watched that didn't come from North America. I also was big into Pokemon, but I didn't get interested in Beyblade, Yu-Gi-Oh, Bakugan, etc.

Also, I always liked Chip and Dale, Looney Tunes, Rugrats, Dexter's Laboratory, Cow and Chicken, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, The Powerpuff Girls, Aaah! Real Monsters.

Now I watch Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Inuyasha, Kekkaishi, Pokemon.
