    Favorite Childhood Toy

Yeah so I just watched Toy Story 3 tonight, it was a great movie btw and I recommend it to anyone because Disney makes great family movies, etc., and after I got done watching it, it made me think of my favorite toys I played with when I was a kid. What was your favorite toys you played with when you were growing up?

I had this sweetass castle set with my knights that always wrecked havoc against each other.

Here's a pic of what I had! Even though good always prevails just like in real life, my favorite dude was the King of the black armor dudes because he had a sweet axe that was like as tall as he was. I remember getting that for my birthday one time, then next month was Christmas and I ended up getting a cool pirate ship with pirates, so sometimes the gold and the black kingdoms had to work together to battle off the evil plunderers!

So yeah, who else had cool toys that you remember spending time with while growing up?

Meier: Hey Pete, I said I started to, it just didn't end the with the same number of women. Then again this one is kind of on the outs with me if she doesn't straighten up and fly right so that means I will be back in it for the thrill of the kill. Got some in the reserves. Even got a rePETEr (<---- like that ay? AYYYYY?) on the back burner.

Well, besides video games, I liked to play a lot with Lincoln Logs and Little People. I used to like to build forts and such with my Lincoln Logs. I would also play with Little People when I was young because my grandpa collected them. He had several hundred and all kinds of buildings, so I would create little towns with my cousins. These could occupy me for a whole day if I got into it.

    Re: Favorite Childhood Toy

I really, really, REALLY want to go see Toy Story 3... *is jealous of everyone who's seen it already*

I was big on Polly Pockets and Barbie Dolls. I've shown pics of my Polly Pocket collection before, and if you've seen them, you would know just how many I have. When I would actually play with them, I would set up the whole town and then have a battery-operated train going around it. I set it up in districts too. I had a residential area, business district, a park and the animal village had it's own place too. I was like a city planner or something. xD

I had a ton of Barbie stuff too. Tons of dolls, tons of clothes (though I never could keep a lot of shoes around... Those are easy to lose), a couple of cars, and a minivan as well. Never had a dollhouse, but I did get quite a few pieces of furniture. I just put it on top of my playtable, and worked from that.

So those were my favorite toys. I spent hours of my childhood playing with those.

I can't wait to see Toy Story 3

I used to play with Barbie and Polly Pockets too. I can't believe how much Polly Pocket has changed tho. When I played them she used to be tiny with a join in the middle so you could sit her down, and she was a total cow to get to stand up in thoses holes on the play sets too. Now she is a bit bigger and by the looks of it easier to play with lol.

I played with my Barbies quite alot, I had a horse and carriage and a car for her, which I loved. I also used to munch on her shoes aswell, I don't know why tho, they were sooo small and NEVER stayed on her bloody feet, so I used to pop them in my mouth and chew on them lol

I also used to have Trolls, weird naked, big eared things with crazy coloured hair, I had about 5 shelves filled with Troll Doll. I had two massive ones that used to sit on my bed, I remember getting them for Xmas, they were a bride and groom, and too me the mummy and daddy of all the other Trolls.

    Re: Favorite Childhood Toy

My favorite toy EVER was my stuffed animal "Fluffy" go figure

it's a stuffed cheetah and it's white with black spots and black ears. It purrs when you shake it ( I think there's like a hollow sphere in the head with a tiny marble in it)

I still have her and all my stuffed animals, they're important because I used to play with them so much and always wanted to keep them safe. Fluffy is the most important though because I was so attached to it and always had to have her with me when I went to bed and some times when we went out I would bring her too. I used to throw her in the washing machine because I carried her so much she would get really dirty.

We had a few incidents where her head tore and we had to sew her up a few times. Also, her eye paint came off after the years so her pupils are stickers lol Overall now, she's in good shape :3

And the second are my old school Polly Pockets. They're sooo cool even to this day. I'm SO sad they changed them, Polly's a cheap slut now :s

lol oopsie it came out black an white rwar

Just some of my Polly Pockets, I didn't feel like taking them all out

EDIT: oh yeah! me and Dodie ween!

I was thinking that since I'm artificially creating it, I'll create it with rocket fuel instead of blood, and thus it will be able to fly, using the dolphin's dorsal fins as wings. And from the air, it will look down upon us all and protect us against sharks, and search for bananas.

    Re: Favorite Childhood Toy

Me and my brother used to play with Barbie Dolls and Action Men. We had cars and stuff for them, but not houses. We turned a set of shelves in our room into a house using bits and pieces from around the house. Like... A book or two for a bed with an old vest top over it as a duvet, and a folded up one for a pillow.

Also, every Saturday where I live, there's a market at the end of my road. There was a toy stall which sold Lara Croft and Final Fantasy figurines (the later was pretty rare). I bought about three Lara Croft toys, and a Seifer toy. My dog managed to chew the leg off one of my Lara Croft toys, and my brother broke a hand off Seifer. x3

My dog was always very destructive with our toys. Mum bought me an Angelina Jolie figure of her as Lara Croft (these were pretty collectable at the time, when the movie just came out), and I LOVED it. It was so well made. One day, Rolo got into our room, and out of EVERYTHING decided to steal my toy. D=

    I was devastated.

    Re: Favorite Childhood Toy

Lets see here, the toys I used to play with where Furbies with my sister, I also used to play with Legos (who doesn't?), I also used to have this stuffed tomagachti looking thing whose name was Mr. It, I played with fingerboards at one point and used to have the ramps for them and stuff, I played with G.I. Joes at my friend's house, I LOVED playing with water pistols and super soakers. Used to get my sister with them, I would add really cold water (ice cold water) in the hole where you put the water in and then when she appears in the hallway i would squirt her and she would scream when she gets wet hahahaha!

EDIT: I just remembered, I didn't just use ice cold water, I would also get her with just plain cold water. Either way, those were fun times, I still would get her with a water weapon today if I had the opportunity

Actually, I had a Woody when I was little, so I played with that thing most of the time. I even use to beg my siblings to play with him, they just ignored me though, hehe. Eventually I got bored one day and microwaved it a couple times until it started to take effect on his appearance. So I played with a burned up crumby toy for the next day, and threw it away.

I used to have all the Power Rangers figures where you press a button and their head changed from their Power Ranger mask to their real heads. I had the whole lot (even the shiney movie ones). I absolutely loved them.

Then when I got to old for them, I sold them to my auntie for my cousin, who was really little at the time, and their dog ripped the whole lot to shreds. I was gutted. Just to think, years of play, and in about a week, they were all destroyed. The only one that survived (barely) was the Red, which was the first one I got.

    Re: Favorite Childhood Toy

I had a huge collection of toy cars, me, my brother and few of our friends would make some kind of road in our back yard, sometimes we even knew to make a little city, with buildings (usually boxes) bridges and everything, all to make it more interesting. My favorite car, also my favorite toy was a little classic blue beatle, out of all toys I hang to it the most, I think I still have it somewhere on the attic.

I also loved playing with my action figures, I remember having Spiderman and few of his villains, he even had a bike which didn't make any sense but hey it was cool. My brother would let me play with some of his transformers figures, I remember being particularity fond of Starscream.

I've got this bear called Popples, I think (hope, for my mothers sake) that's it's still in the loft back at home. I used to suck on his nose. He was constantly ripping at the seams and someone was constantly sewing him back up

I swear if she has binned him, I'l throttle her

Other than him, lego. Lego could keep me amused for hours, still could actually, I love the stuff... not standing on it though, then I hate lego hurl profanities and want to cob it all in the bin

    Glorious.

I had pretty much every single TMNT toy ever created. I'm really afraid to know how much my parents spent on them, but I'm pretty sure if I had sacrificed the toys, my brother and I would have had our own rooms with the money they'd have saved.

    Re: Favorite Childhood Toy

TMNT FTW. I had quite a lot of them, including some of the vehicles(and the airship! ). But the main toy I had was Legos. No matter how many I had, I never felt like they were enough. I always ended up having to make things in weird colors, because I ran out of the color I needed. I probably could have got a job as one of those Lego architects who build those replicas of New York City, etc. But, I gave up tinkering with Legos and increased how much I tinkered with PC hardware.

to this day, i still play with legos. when i was younger i'd build these lego cities in the living room; and when i ran out of legos i'd use my little brothers duplos. i was never much into barbies, my little pony, or quite frankly anything that was considered "girlie". i and i can honestly say i still play on this from time to time. can't see it, but the screen in cracked in the upper right

My favorite childhood toy would be the Godzilla figurines. I was really into giant monster movies back then and I'm still into them now! I watched a lot of Godzilla and Gamera.

The original Gameboy along with Pokemon Red would also be one of my favorite childhood toys.

Soft toys when I was a baby (had a blue teddy bear from my Grams I used to love).
And then whatever electronics people threw my way as a little kid up to the point I got my first gameboy. We're talking ancient machines before graphical operating systems were around, machines you'd have to type several lines in with huge floppy disks inserted before you got to play amazing games like Space Invaders...

    In short, great stuff.
