As to whether it was meant to be "Australian" or just foreign, I'm not really sure. Either way, I didn't really mind the voice acting for either. I think they fit their respective characters well enough.SPOILER!!:

I don't understand the problem though. It makes sense that people from different regions would speak with different accents. Or are you saying your problem was with the choice of accent given?

Vanille just sounded like an Australian accent being dragged down a chalk board. I didn't have a problem with Fang's voice acting at all - to me, it just sounded more natural.
Also, they could have been more South African accents. Fang pronounced things like one of my old teachers used to. Maybe that's just me, but that could explain why you don't think it sounds right.

Although I heard from someone that I don't recall that Vanille's actress was 'kiwi', lol. Sounds like they were wrong. o.O
I didn't have any problems with their accents though.

And yeah, Australian, though rather weakly. It would have been worse had it been a "Seed-ney" (Sydney) kind of Australian.

And yeah, I was thinking the same thing as Gemma was about Vanille's voice actually, it reminded me a lot of a SA township accent to be honest. As soon as she started talking I instantly thought of Die Antwoord. lol wierd references.
I didnt think they were that annoying, Vanille sounded like she wanted to sex me all the time but I was surpisingly okay with this.

I'm not so much big on the voices as the rest of you are, but in terms of everything else, I like Vanille, that perky personality of her's is amazing, always seem to make me smile when she speaks.
As for as Fang goes, I haven't seen too much of her character at this point in the game but I do like how she's confident and blunt, in a way, their like total opposites.

Vanilles voice came off more as a lisp to me with only a bit of an Australian accent. her voice was one of the things I disliked most about Vanille, it was like someone cut off part of her tongue or she had a stroke that made her slur words.
There were just so many other things that I hated about Fang that I didn't really pay ayttention to her accent so much. That and for 80% of the game she has a minimal role.
