What is up with Auron?

I have played through this game twice and seen it played through three times but I cannot figure out something. Why does Auron when he has max strength and his fully powered up Masamune hit certain enemies (Halma's and Demonolith's are two of the type of monsters in question) while all the other characters cause max damage on all enemies including Halma's and Demonolith's? I know that his weapon gets stronger as he gets weaker but that doesn't explain it either because he DOES start to hit with max damage after you have maxed out his accuracy (which should have no beraring on the damage inflicted on opponents) so what is up with that?!

for me Auron can hit all enemies, if hes fast enough, so i cant help you there

It is not a problem with him hitting the enemies I just don't undestand why he doesn't cause max damage on Halma's, Demonlith's until he has maxed up his accuracy as well as strength it is just strange don't you think?

ahh... yes it is... i dont see why he cant do it straight off
