I love it.
I mean it isn't really hard at all if you set up perfect gambits.
Got me the sunflower in about 50 minutes lol
Ahh how I HATE looking for really rare loot for bazaar ingredients lol. Specially to make the Tournesol. How about anyone else?
I love it.

Your pathetic existence will shut down. I will make your lives end in ruin. Fear me, as you fear death. Not a threat, not a promise, but what must be finished. 7 final arcs...
50 Minutes? Wow screw you sir.....I've been working on it on and off for almost a week now..I just got off because I thought I had it finally had 2 gemsteels emp souls and serpentines... didnt get it so apparently I didn't get a 3rd Serpentine earlier like I thought I did. Luckily its the easier one to get. Usually when Im about to give up on finding something and move on to something else I kill one more monster and get what I need and it just pisses me off lol. Its like the game taunts me.
Also I find poaching gives me certain items more than just monograph drops. I know the % is one lower but it just seems that way to me on certain things like the Hells Gate flames.
EDIT: WOOO Just got the last Serpentarius..which is the easiest one... now i just need 50k for the sunflower

The Tournesol was a bit of a bitch to make however if you play the game again you will see that you may gain some of the items you need to make the Tournesol during the story portion of the game (if you are hunting on a regular basis you can get some of the required items from hunt rewards and from Montblanc in the clan hall at Rabanastre as you kill more Marks and gwt a higher clan ranking) you may still need to collect a few more but it will a damn sight easier if you note down the items you have got and the items you need.
I bought the game a few years ago, gave up on the Sky Bahamut. I just started playing it on my pc i was like 60-70 hours in (who knows the game's very time consuming) and I decided to do a little research about the game..............
Little did I realize this whole looting bit. I was dissappointed at first but now after actually experimenting with it I enjoy it very much. For obtaining the ultimate weapons I think this was a good way to go about it, rather then taking chocobo's across all corners of the map, including the sky for ultimate weapons (FF9). This way you can train and you start getting used to the looting after an hour of it, at least I did. I just got all the necessery items to create the Saggatarius Bow and am now aiming for the Artemis arrows before I head for the great crystal just because I want to actually battle with it and enjoy, but the only place i can get Vampyr Fangs is from Abysteel, I've got 3 choices right now, Go to Lhusu Mines and get my ass kicked by them, I could go to the Henne Mines and also get my ass kicked from them there or I could go to Sochen Cave palace and try and get lucky with the two that are in there, I've decided to just continue with my bow and worry about the arrows till after the great crystal cuz I'll deffenetly be able to pay thos blood suckers back by then
I know it sounds like I'm complaining but I'm not I really enjoy it because I feel like I've accomplished something after obtaining the desired weapon.
i hate having to search for the loot, so annoying
Ashe and Vaan forever
I roleplay Daisuke Niwa and DArk from DNANGEL and HAruhi Fujioka from OHSHC and also Ashe, so if anyone would like to RP with me just ask haha

When I first played through FFXII I was annoyed about having to get loot to sell to get the Gil I needed for stuff. But after playing through again for the Second time I learned actually fun it was, sure it was tedious but it was worth it because you get more out of the battles besides just exp. I found that getting those Courel Pelts in Golmore Jungle really helped out in the long run.

I think looting is what makes Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy. You have to put in the work to get the best gear and not just buy it with money.
ive just recently bought final fantasy xii and i naturally went searching for loot, but i think it sucks how you don't get money from the boss battles
im sure to blog about this on my site gamesinfoworld. FF ROCKS!!!!!!!
Getting the Tournesol was annoying.
However, what would be even more annoying is getting the Wyrm Hero Blade. Yes, I *can* kill Yiazmat. Do I want to spend an hour + on it and use 60+ of my 99 ethers? Not really. It's just way too boring.
I hate it, but I love it. It can get on your nerves when you can't find a rare item, but then I think it's actually kind of fun.
It only takes an hour + to beat him? I heard it took multiple hours. And I wouldn't mind using most of my ethers. Especially since later in the game, you can get lots and lots of expendable gil from the bones you get from the skeleton enemies that lurk in the room Zeromus was in.

Up Next: Final Fantasy II
I actually enjoyed farming for ingredients in this game - compared to other RPG's this one didn't make it feel so monotonous and dull. Granted, i couldn't sit there all day purely farming but it was still fun when i sat down with the goal firmly etched in my mind.
Spoiler: My TFF Family:
My TFF girlfriend who hearts root beer - Chocobo_Lover 17
My brother of honourable justice - Judge Magistrate
My Canadian sister who travels the skies- R.Kyra
My nameless brother of legend - Hero without a Name
My brother, the Gunblade master - Lion Heart
My supernatural sister of mysterious intrigue - belleZ
Okay, Loot Farming Is Actually Not Bad, Cause You Get EXP Along The Way, And Your Doing It For Something Important(I.E. Money, Ingredients, Weapons, Armor)
I Had To Do This A Few Times For Many Different Things, But I Finally Actually Had A Challenge: The Tournesol Or The Sunflower 2H Greatsword. I Looked Up How To Get Everything I Needed, And It Took Me 1 Night And 1 Day To Get All The Loot For It, and I Had Some Spare Change In Doing So, So I Made A Bunch Of Money And Got a Sweet Weapon In The Process, Plus A Few Levels On One Of My Stronger/Higher Leveled Characters. So To Me, Loot Farming Can Be A Drag, But If You Got The Determination, You Can Get It Done, And Possibly Have Fun Doing It IMO.
Haven't been on in ages and hope I don't run into some people I ran into before which caused me to leave the site.. But must tell you how much I hate loot farming because I don't ever seem to get anything decent.. Luck seems to have a big role in what you get and I have so little of that..
I've actually just started the game again, this will be my 3rd time playing and I thought it would pass the time until XIII-2 comes out.. I never did get all the best items when I played before but maybe this time I will..
I just finished up getting off the Leviathan and am getting ready to head to Raithwall's Tomb through the Sandsea.. Wish me luck all..
