Story-wise I'm on my way to Giruvien (again... the spelling..lol)

I got smoked by those stupid Deadly Nightshades at the entrance to the Feywood so I'm taking a break from the storyline to do some side-quests and hunts to raise my party members levels.

Right now I'm trying to level up Penelo (she was a whopping level 11 when I started. As you can tell, I have no use for her) Now she's level 22, which didn't take too long with the Embroidered Tippet. She's also got the entire magick LP board finished too. Woo.

I'm stuck at the Cockatrice side-quest, and posted about it in the help thread, so if anyone can help out let me know!

Well I've put in a good 10+ hours since my last post. I'm clocked at about 92 hours. I've got 12 out of 13 espers. All I need is Zodiark. Ultima was a pain just getting to, took me about an hour, and a pain fighting. Especialy when MP sap was in effect, and the attack and magic commands were disabled, and I was trying to dispel reflect off my party members so Renew wouldn't heal Ultima when she tried casting it on characters that were "reversed". But in the end, I triumphed. All characters have their license boards complete and all six characters are at level 60. Story wise, I've completed the Pharos and Ridorana, and I can go to Sky Fortress Bahamut whenever I feel like it. I know I'm strong enough to complete the game now if I wanted to, but I'm just gonna keep on doing hunts and sidequests for now I guess.

Congrads Wolmeister! Hope you beat Zodiac. Anywayz, well I've been just battling around the game lately haven't been pretty much going along with the storyline. I've already defeated Mateus which was pretty easy if you have those quickenings. After that I went back to Mt. whatever and before going on to the Feywood, I'm gonna fight some hunts and attempt to get that one esper in the caverns before going on. Overall, Vaan has double LP now along with the rest so it should be pretty easy getting fast LP now. Other than that the game is really picking up now.

I just got the Zodiac Spear - I'm SOOOO happy

I went into the Necrohol of Nabudis and ventured about 3 floors up. There was a room with 16 or 20 treasure chests in it. I opened about 10 and kept getting knots of rust then ZODIAC SPEAR!!!! The Necrohol is really a scary place lol, not one save point anywhere!

I just got Ultima Getting to her was the toughest part. I got her down on the 2nd try. Make sure you have a megaelexir handy because that saved my life. I beat her with just Vaan and Penelo left with 1 hit point each!!!! LOL..

I tried to be a smart a$$ and get my final esper, Zodiark, and let me tell you, you think it was tough getting through the great crystal to get to Ultima! I found the map urn in the hidden area in Henne Mines. I spent a good hour only getting half way and I was OWNED!!! No save crystals!! lol.. I guess you shouldn't try this until all 6 of your toons are 90ish.

Oh and I tried Omega Mark XII after I beat Ultima, save yourself the trouble and wait until all 6 of your toons are 99 like I am.

wow, i feel so far behind. i'm only at the mines of bhujerba. my character's lvs are kinda high, i think, kept on going back in and getting high chains. I think my highest chain was 166, then the skeletons stopped spawning. Fran, Basch, and Baltier are at about lv. 18/19, and Vaan's at lv. 20

New to the boards here. I mainly use Vaan, Balthier and Fran which all are at level 64-65. I always spend a ridiculous amount of time leveling up and trying to get monsters to drop all their rare items. I'm about to go in to the South of Feywood and through the dense mist. What a great game.

mist abilities rule!

use them on werewolves in thebeginning and they'll drop kotetsu 50 attack power and they r right next 2 a mist abillity so it's right on the way

I'm at Draklor laboratories right now.
I groaned at having to do the good deeds at the city, but, actually it ended up being pretty fun.
Haven't found the trick to go to the last floor in the labs yet.

The level is 37 and everyone has all the augments unlocked.

I'm killing things in Henne Mines right now for Lifewicks. I thought I had all of the materials sold in the Bazaar for more Durandals, but I don't know if I understand the way the Bazaar works anymore. But I'm having fun, I did about 50 chain on the Abysaal bats in there before I got to the Necrofiend. I even purposely spawned 16 bats at once because I wanted a challenge. I love killing them all with a couple Scathes, its so enjoyable. Henne Mines has been a cake walk for me since the earlier 80s when I entered. I think I was in the 70s the first time, not too hard, I thought it was going to be with all the lv 70 monsters in there, but its pretty easy.

I spent the night before killing glowing orb things for materials for the Durandal and getting Emperor Scales, those were both a pain the next. I chained like 20 of the orbs, which is not easy to do.

My guys are 89 now, the other three are still low level, but I did finish of their License Grids because I had like 11k LP and wanted to use them. It unfortunately took me like an hour to do it all because I never touched them.

I could go fight Zodiac at anytime, but I'm wanting my Durandals first. I got my second Ribbon too, which made me happy. I plan to get a third, so I don't have do the stupid accessory switching all of the time.

Right now I'm on my way to Archades. My characters are all at level 40. They all have double LP and I now have 3 espers in my hand at this point. Obviously I have Belias and Mateus, but I decided to go to and get Adrammelech which he was easy with quickenings at least. But other than that I've completed 13 mob hunts and my rank is a Ward of Justice (I think.)

Woohoo finally beat the game (Roughly 100 Hours ~.~ autoleveling took up a good 20 or so).

I've got most of the hunts done, except for like the last 6. 2 are normal hunts and the other 4 should be Elite Marks. I have beaten Gilgamesh, fun fight!

Unfortunately, any trade goods ( high level weapons) can only obtained 1 time, no second time.
I'm working on the Zodiac Spear; I have 2 masamune, Durandal, Excalibur, Ultimate Blade... Just to get all the weapons cost me 10+ hr...
You're lucky to have Ribbons, to me I have to buy any accessories that can help me out with mobs
I have a hint for all of you if you want to enter the hene mines: you can use Sleep and disable on the Bats... They really weak to these spells... (Try to kill them fast when you still have time)

Surely that the esper is weak for you...(I got him when I was 79-80)


-The tricky part is that he shall build barriers against magic and physical damage, and using Darkja very often (better to prepare Demon Shield or Black Mask. Darkja also inflict death randomly on your characters)
-He also can change his elements weakness (Let the gambit figure out)

One tip: Change the battle speed to slowest, so you will have better control in the battle. Good Luck

Well I haven't updated in a while, so I guess I will:

I spent some time leveling up to 86, while doing random things, such as Hunts. I'm almost done with all the hunts except the last few. I also obtained the Ultima Blade and am working on getting some other weapons. I'm not in any rush to get the weapons though, because I pretty much beat the shit out of everything with my current setup:

For exp, all characters wear tippets(d'oh! ). As for fighting anything I'm not concerned about EXP(such as rares, hunts, bosses), I wear:
Basch: Zodiac Spear, Magepower Shishak, Maximillian, Cat-ear Hood
Ashe: Ultima Blade, Magepower Shishak, Maximillian, Cat-ear Hood
Fran: Masamune, Circlet(for extra magik power)/Magepower Shishak, Maximillian, Cat-ear Hood/Genjii Gloves

I haven't decided which I like best, Genjii gloves or Cat-ear Hood. I can do sick combos with Masamune + Genjii Gloves, but with Cat-ear Hood everything is turbo, so Fran can cure and hit much more often. Plus, all characters cast Haste on themselves. Hastega is stupid. It cost efficiency of it is poor, when each character can easily get make the mana for casting it on his or herself. Basch and Ashe cast Bravery on themselves, which makes their damage even more nuts then it already is. I like it better than zerk. I do occasionally zerk Basch just to be an insane cheapass, but its really not necessary and causes more problems than its worth. Fran uses Faith to boost her Magik capabilities, which is really nice. Anywho, onto more stuff I've done...

I've completed all the Espers except for Chaos and Zodiark. Fighting Ultima was rather fun, seeing as how I was just screwing around in the Crystal after getting a Rare Monster. I went deeper and deeper and ran into the bitch. Holyja is a bitch, but I got her down to 1/8th health in 30 seconds, so it wasn't that big of a bitch I suppose. I was expecting her to be some kind of uber-bitch, but with everyone wearing cat-ear hoods and the aforementioned spells, I was comboing her ass to death. Frankly, some of the Rare Game I've fought were harder than her. Speaking of which, I've completed all 30 Rare Trophy monsters. Seeking those out and killing them was pretty cool. At my level, most were rather easy, but some of them pop up on your ass and start wailing before you even know wtf hit you.

In any case, my next order of business is killing the last two Espers and then finishing off the hunts. I might waste some time trying to get the most uber two-handed sword in the game, but its a bitch to get all the stuff for it. I need like 9 High Arcana, and a whole bunch of other crap. Its a nice sword, but spending 10+ hours just to get it? Meh. I might go level in the Crystal again. I found a spot that gives out insane EXP even easier than those damn bats in Henne Mines. There's a spot where 60 Necrophobes pop and those suckers are damn easy to kill. They might slap Doom on you, but shit... that's what Arise is for. Sure the bats aren't too bad, since I can just Faith+Curaja the ****ers to death. 9999 damage a hit to each X 3 characters. Yeah. Hell I could just zerk everyone and laugh hideously as they tore the shit out of them, but meh... my Necrophobes are more fun. Maybe because I'm obsessed with the word 'Doom'. "Bwahaha! Doom? I'll show you Doom! SPEAR OF DOOOOMM!!!! " *Zodiac Spear to the face of Necrophobe*

I'm at the Second Ascent of the Pharos Lighthouse.

I gave up use of the Mini-map, figured that'd be better because you still have your actual map on the select screen. Still confusing at times though. Got lost, but I'm high enough in my levels that the fiends here arn't too difficult.

I haven't done any extra stuff like trying to get espers and whatever. I've got 3 of them, but they've been story-line related (Belias, Mateus and Shemhazzi)

Might do that later though.

I've played about 9-10hrs now. I have 4 characters Vaan, Balthier. Fran and the guest Basch. Vaan, Balthier and Fran are at level 9 and Basch is level 11. I'm in Barheim passage, and I'm stuck I don't know how to use my green magik. Yes I have the licenses for them, but I have no clue how to use them. I'm not sure what my chains are, cause I don't know where to check for them. I'm stuck trying to kill the queen Mimic, so if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
The graphics are great I like them and the cinamas are awesome as well. I think this game is going to take atleast 150hrs to totally complete it.

Well to help you, make sure you have the strongest available armor and weapns at this point. And you should probably level up at this point. Its possible for you to get your character quickenins, but it can take a while depending on your character's location on the license board.

Anyways I haven't posted on here for a while either. Right now I'm in Drakar's Laboratory. And right now my main party is Vaan, Fran, and Ashe at the same level 40. I have 4 espers which are Belias, Mateus, Addramalech, and Exodus. I haven't done any Mob hunts so my clan rank is still the same.

havn't updated in a while. I'm in the Raithwall Tomb, and i just got the Demonsbane. The First demon wall was borderline-average. it only took me 2 quickenings to beat him, but the first one wasn't even challenging, neither was that giant bird. Anyways, is it possible to get another Demonsbane from the chest to give to Basch as well?

They really are good to have.
