Game Progress (No Spoilers)

I just got out of Pharos and now I decided to go to Archades and take a break from the game. I now have nine espers which are Belias, Mateus, Zalera, Zeromus, Exodus, Hashmal, Shemhazai, Adrammelech, and Famfrit. I'm gonna try and get Chaos and then Ultima. I think I forgot another one before getting Zodiark though. And my characters are evenly at level 62 with Vaan at level 63.

It has been a while since my last post
I replay the game and here is my status:
70 hours, 13 espers,3 charaters are at lv 99, others are 98 and 97, 32 Marks done.

Well, I'm still in my first play through. I have been playing for 63 hours so far, and am up to the 2nd Esper fight. My characters are at level 31 (Vaan and Balthier) and level 30 (Fran, Basch, Ashe, and Penelo). My current party (which is likely to change for the Esper fight) is Penelo (leader), Ashe and Fran.

I'm looking at all the other posts in this thread, and I'll tell you, it makes me feel like I don't even know how to play a RPG game properly. Oh well. I've only been playing RPGs for about 3 years now, and mostly FFX, SO3, and FFVIII.

I think I have alot to learn about playing these games, but I still love playing them, and am enjoying FFXII most of all.

Well I have been playing this game for 18 hours and I am at the Nam-Yensa Sandsea. My clan rank is Rear Guard and I have 48343 points.
My character levels are as follows:

I have Vaan as like a paladin type, with a lot of white magic. Then I have Basch as my technik person, but he is also my strongest fighter. And then I have Penelo as my mage. She is proficient in all areas of magic.

My highest chain level is 67.

I guess that is all that I have to say.

I got Chaos, Chuclainn(sp?), and Ultima. Ultima was a bitch though. I had to fight her four times till I beat her. If she's hard, I could imagine what Zodiark is. Right now my main party is:

This morning I completed the Marilith hunt and I finally purchased "Scathe". That spells my favorite. Just cast "faith" on Ashe or Penelo and they kick ass.

140 hours, level 91 vaan, basch, and penelo. all 13 espers, all 45 marks, 52 rare game found, 30 in the hunt club with only 29 trophies grrrrr, and i messed up and got some chests i wasnt supposed to so i will never have the zodiac spear. fun fun.

I beat the trickster, man it wasn't easy he's ammune to critical damage. I ended up beating him using all my quickenings.

Level 99 now with everyone, just beat Omega Mark XII and got the wyrmhero blade. It's not the Zodiac Spear, but it's quite awesome +130 to attack.

Beated the game a week ago. I also have all 13 espers now which is cool. I have a lot of my Sky Pirate Den filled up now. I also got the Zodiac Spear. Yay me. But I still have a lot to do. I already have all the spells and technicks, but I need to do a few mob hunts and fight Yazmat too. Also, I haven't completed my bestiary yet for that matter too. Oh and right now I'm only using Vaan, Balthier, and Fran at this point.They already completed there license board and have Double EXP equipped. They are at level 89.

I finally started playing this again after a while, just doing some training and filling up my beastary. I have all six characters at level 80. I'm clocked at about 136 hours. I've got about 5 million clan points (Knight of the Round) and about 1.7 million gil.

Edit: I just defeated the Hell Wyrm too!

i finished the game yesterday with everyone averaging about level 50. i hear all this talk everywhere about strategy with healing, ranged weapons, magic, berserking people, etc. i beat the game by nothing more than smashing and meleeing through everything using 1 handed swords with everyone. everyone learns the same licenses and gets the same armor and weapon, that way everyone is equally good and (heres the best part) instead of buying 6 sets of weapons and armor for everyone, i only need 3, and just keep switching equipment when i switch characters. i have gambits set up for healing everything with items including health (x potions) and i have 99 items for everything. the great thing about healing with potions not magic is that potions are instantaeous. since i do this, i have little need for magic, which leaves me free to use quickenings from all 6 characters at the beginning of all boss battles, usually taking down 1\2 hp and then i can put on the dawn shard after if i want and smash my way to victory. i did this up to the pharos at ridorana, when i started to need magic. the only downside to this setup is you need alot of money for this. im just starting on side quests now so i gotta get that figured out. anyway, thats where im at and how i got there. if any of you are having trouble with the overly complicated strategies that guides and walkthroughs give you, try this out. peace.

I reached the point of no return a few days ago. I spent the time since trying to finish up the licence board. Yesterday I tried the ending. My characters were all level 63 (except Fran, 62 and Penelo, 64). I almost defeated the finl boss. Almost. For me, not too bad for the first try. I'm going to try again today.

since my last post ive just been completing hunts, i got 26 done now. other than that, and a few more espers, not alot has changed.

Guess I'll post my whereabouts..

Currently I'm hunting marks. I'm basically at the point where I can beat the game, just need to get to the Bahamut. My Characters are all at 64/65. I switch out a lot. Their License boards are all filled minus the Espers, and I'm going at 90 hours so far. Dunno when I'll actually go and beat the game, but I'm currently just doing the Sidequests.

I finally finished the storyline. My characters were all level 66. I am currently in the Pharos Subterra. Want to talk about hard? I've been saving my progress in extremely small increments because the monsters there gang up on you. All my characters have died just trying to get back out to heal and save.

Well my copy came today so I switched it on, my PS2 started making funny noises so I decided not to play too long. I got to the first save point, it will probably take a little while to get used to it but so far it looks really good. I am glad the camera's are the same as DQVIII as that is what I am used to, I will probably be playing it a lot for the next couple of days.

Being in Aus i only got this game last week-ish... Im about 25hours down, lvl's around 22. Just beat that freaking annoying dragon-ish thing that Fran's sister let loose in the mines. I'll never forgive myself for wasting 5 remidies out of 6 that i had >.< Freaking crap disable spell! gr! Even more so i'll ignor the point that i could have got accesories than prevented disable. *sigh* So yes, doing some training and money making at the moment. fun fun.

I have recently finished that stuff at Jhara I believe its called and spent some time getting everybody up to level 20, it keeps feeling like I am under leveled or something though after a while the fights became relatively easy, just upgraded a few of my weapons and clearing the green section of the License board and will go through that jungle area. Roughly 20 hours I think.

I'm just finished the stillshrine of miriam and heading north of nalbabia.I am at level 37 with ashe,36 with Basch and Vaan clocked at about 40 hours or so.Is this good at this point as it is still pretty hard.

I am at the end of the Stilshrine Miriam but only at level 28, so I suspect you will find it fairly easy. I was doing through the hunts and getting more Quickenings and the 500HP LP and I am going to try and beat it again.
