Yunalesca is the daughter of the very first Summoner Yu Yevon. After Yu Yevon defeated Sin for the first time Yu Yevon was trapped inside of Sin's body where it continued to Summon for eternality restoring Sin's body over a period of time known as the "Calm". Yunalesca herself when on a Pilgrimage along with her husband Lord Zeon to defeat Sin. After arriving in Zanarkand Yunalesca was forced to sacrfice her beloved Lord Zeon to become the fayth for the Final Summoning. Yunalesca was able to defeat but at the cost of her life as well since the Final Aeon not only defeats Sin but it kills the Summoner as well. However...Yunalesca was never sent (unsent) and she became a sort of Spiritual entity body.



She stayed in Zanarkand for centruies to continue the tradition of the Summoner's Pilgrimage and she awaits in Zanarkand for more summoners to give them there Final Aeon as she is able to transform a Guardian of the summoners choosing to a fayth to use as the final aeon, that is until Yuna and her friends arrived in Zanarkand and broke the 1000 year old tradition by defeating her. Yunalesca pocesses strong spiritual powers and magic. I hope this sums it up ^_^'.
