Oh there's a difference alright. I don't want to spoil it because it's kinda creepy and something you have to see for yourself. Just boot up the game and fight the final battles, paying attention to the spell animation when it revives you.

What are the two Items you need to unlock the Caladbolg's full power, and how do you get them?

You need the Sun Sigil and the Sun Crest.

Can't quite remember which one is where but I know for one of them you need to get a perfect time in a chocobo race in the calm lands and then go to the northern part of the calm lands to a glyph that gives you one of the items. The other one is in a chest in Yunalesca's room in the Zanarkand Chamber of the Faith.

Oh you guys are no fun. Although Zidane-Tribal is pretty close. The normal animation for auto-life is just the feather animation, but the animation for the permanent auto-life for the final battles also features a strange snake-like angel that revives you. Here's a picture of the angel:

Actually, my answer is right. The name is "Ridess ze Shoopuf?". You can check it out in the game itself in the Luca music stadium if you don't believe me. It's also listed as such on the soundtrack as well. I'm not sure if you're from the US or not, so maybe they retranslated differently for your country, but that's what it is for the NTSC version of the game.

And the thread is stickied at the top of the forum, so it isn't going to die anytime soon. Besides, the thread isn't active enough to justify such a short waiting period for a question. Before I started posting, some of these threads hadn't been touched in months. If you're afraid of the thread getting stagnant, then try and answer the question, and I'll give hints to help people out if it seems too difficult. Just allowing people to wildy guess(or not guess at all) and then post their own questions whether they're right or not ruins the spirit of the game.
