Ultima is the best magic for the strength stat, but I'm not so sure you'll be doing 9999 every time even by using Ultima. I haven't played the game in a while, so I'm not exactly positive. Either way, Ultima is the best. Meteor comes in second, but there is quite a difference between the two.

Ok I got plenty of Ultimas, is there a way to get unlimited Strength ups that would prolly do it...

Devour your stats to the MAX, also have 100 Ultimas on strength. You'll do 9999.

To make Squall hit 9999 Find some GFs that learn Str +20%, Str +40% and Str +80%. Ifrit is a good one in early game. There are items that teach these skills to a GF. Then under Junction-> Abilities put on the Str +%'s to get an increase Str.

You can also Junction Str Bonus to get +1 str for every level up.

Yea man I boosted Squalls strength starting at 30, he still don't cause 9999 but I forgot about the strength junctions, thanks man.

No problem good sir, FF8 is my bread and butter final fantasy. ive had races in ff8 against other people.
