I'm a lazy dude and i have a copy of FFIX but my save file was wiped, I need people to get me to be able to be re-inspired to play any Final fantasy. I keep getting distracted by League Of Legends.

I was listening to the FFIX soundtrack last night, and my roommate almost quit playing FFVIII in order to start IX again. I had to talk him out of it twice, since he was having a tough time trying to convince himself to finish VIII when there was so much awesome coming out of my computer.
Does that count?
LISTEN TO THE SOUNDTRACK

I dunno if it will work on games too well, but when I rewatch movies for the umpteenth time, I try focusing on interesting backgrounds and secondary characters doing stuff until I get to the parts I really enjoy. FF IX has a lot of stuff that you could see like that I'm sure. Though maybe you shouldn't force yourself either. You'll enjoy it more when you truly want to play it, though the OST idea is good too.
I would suggest playing it giving yourself challenges like doing low level runs in certain places, and you should explore areas of the game you normally don't visit, play the heck out of the chocobo hot and cold. I would also experiment with your characters by using different abilities to defeat monsters.
If none of those help you can always play chrono cross. (Oh wait, that's something different)
This is a completely legitimate question. Potentially relevant to your ability to return to the game!

I also go the soundtrack route for finding inspiration to play most games. However, in this case, I would keep listening to the soundtrack over playing the game because one of my FFIX discs is inexplicably damaged. My FFVIII discs were intentionally damaged---they were my beverage coasters in college.
But... Secret Library Daguerreo. Mmmmm. That's about all I can add to that.
Wow surprised by all of the old friends that posted on this thread, don't know if any of you remember me but glad to see you're all still around, Loco i will listen to the soundtrack
Also i was up to the part when Kuja takes you hostage and asks you to go somewhere and do something (my memory is vague) as far as i can remember i was on the 3rd disk.

I would wait a while before coming back to it, that way you leave yourself some time to forget the story (somewhat) before you come back to it. In the meantime, i suggest uninstalling LoL and start playing Dota. I have heaps of dota 2 keys to hand out and I'm a generous person, especially to strangers on the internet.
Think I'd need to be good at Lol before moving to Dota other than that i don't know too much about it and do they even have EU servers?
We scored an Australian server (I think its in sydney) about 5 or 6 months ago. There is a small tutorial you can play to get you use to the mechanics of it and then you can just verse bots on your own until you are comfortable playing online. LoL will not help you to become a good dota player. Playing dota will help you become a better dota player. I've played both, and while I'll admit im slightly biased toward dota, I believe it to be the more balanced of the two.

I have this issue with many games because of League of Legends. I recently bought Dragon Age: Origins, Fable, Dead Island, and Dead Island Riptide. I want to play all these games, but keep getting caught in LoL's web. Also don't play Dota.
Sitting here waiting for Rocky, and Che to notice me!!
i need to start that pokemmo up, too long of queue times in league

Meier: Hey Pete, I said I started to, it just didn't end the with the same number of women. Then again this one is kind of on the outs with me if she doesn't straighten up and fly right so that means I will be back in it for the thrill of the kill. Got some in the reserves. Even got a rePETEr (<---- like that ay? AYYYYY?) on the back burner.
Block: I do like the rePETEr except it kinda makes it sound like you're going to pork Pete. No homo.
(Updated April 13th 2013)Currently Playing: League of Legends, FTL, Dead Island, Borderlands 2, KotoR 2
Oh, my bad. Reading about good FFIX is made me a selective reader. I've heard from people that 9 is one of the best FF's. Now I remembered this and want to play it.
