    Peace and Inspiration

I was just thinking - as that's all I'm able to do now *Grumble*
Since I've been back from hospital and resting up post op all I can do it try and seek out some peace. Maybe get some inspiration to do something with minimum effort I dunno.

So I was curious (I think that line has been used by me way too many times haha), where do you go to find 'Peace'. Or maybe you have a particular place to find inspiration.

I consider myself real lucky right now. As I recover from my operation I'm here in Switzerland which is in fact the place where I find my peace. The beautiful landscape... they animals in they're natural homes.. the sounds of the birds chirping... The majestic mountains towering over you... Yeah it's great.

I also get inspired here too. But hey, not right now. Now I feel like a sack of potatoes about to go off. Great feeling xD.

But as for another thing that inspires me.. music does...
    So yeah what about you?

    Following the path for truth...

    and ending the dream.

Books, and sometimes RPG games are what can help me find peace. The ability to get so deeply involved in another "person's" story that I completely forget about everything around me. I just forget about everything that was going on and get myself hooked.

I only say sometimes RPGs, because the level grinding can really take away from the experience.

    A good way for me to find peace is being on my own. When I'm not in a peaceful mood, the last thing I need to be is with people. So I tend to either go to my room and listen to music (which oddly, it what I do anyway >>) or go for a walk. Living in the city isn't all that inspirational to be honest but I usually go to the park and sit on a bench and play my music. On my own too. I've not done that for a while... I have the earge to do it for the fun of it now lol. >>;;

When we used to take holidays to Henley Upon Thames, to a camp site called Swiss Farm, I used to go up the really big hill at the back of the site, and go into the woods. Yeah, not a wise thing to do on your own - I stumbled across a hobo camp with a bunch of drunkards sitting around calling me over to join in with them. I ran as fast as I could back to the caravan after that experience, but it didn't stop me going back up there. It was quite fun on your own - I climbed up the trees and just sat there for a while watching the wildlife. Mainly pheasants, foxes and the odd bird, but it was nice. ^^

Sometimes if I can't do any of the above, I just go to bed and lay there. I let my mind wonder off into another world sort of, and make up a story. It's usually the same story over and over again, but each time I change something... perfect it almost. I really should write it down, but it's one of those stories you can ever really end because it has no meaning what-so-ever, but to take me away for a while. *shrugs*

Peace comes from within, young grasshopper...

Cliche I know, but if you're raging inside even laying inside the most comfortable hammock by the most serene scenery ever ain't gonna do much for you.
For me being peaceful is a state of mind and once I'm feeling it nothing gets to me for a while.

As far as inspiration goes, I just remain aware of my surroundings. There's always something new to muse over if you're in tune to it. Light last night when half the streetlights went out due to the wind and clouds obscured the upper half of the moon I observed it would be a damn creepy setting for a horror survival game.

Past experience has also helped me inspirationwise, especially for songs and the like.
Marijuana seems to bring often stupid limericks to perfect form instantly (probably why I haven't been able to write a limerick in a while now).

For me the only peace is solitude. I simply do not like being around people.

Reading, writing, sometimes just daydreaming...anything I can do to put my mind at ease also gives me some peace, if not always quiet.

As for inspiration, well generally that which offers peace offers it as well, though I find nature to top most other things for sheer imagination.
