FF8 Laptop Setup

Hi

I'm onto FF8 now in my quest to work my way through all the FF games.

I've dug out my old PC copy of FF8 and loaded it but it's not playing full screen.

The options are set to full screen but it's coming up in a small box in the middle.

I know on the PC I played this on originally years back it worked full screen and that computer would have had much lower specs than my laptop today.

Any ideas anyone? It would be a shame to play it through on a little window if I can get full screen.

It will depend on your graphics card setup.

I run the PC edition of FF8 myself, and although it is setup for full screen, it run in 1024x768, which means that i have a picture with a black border. It also has something to do with widescreen...screens.

Some graphics card setup programs (within windows, outside of the game itself) will allow you to make windows resize the game to fit your screen, whereas others do not. Failing that, I would advise connecting it to an external monitor, as usually it resizes with no problem.

Yes! Playing it on a 2nd monitor does the trick.
