I've got two problems with this playthrough, other than I hate this mini-game: does anyone know where the ocean chest is? I keep digging in the spot on the left hand side of the map but nothing is coming up, I've played the game through a dozen times but I've never bothered doing the chocobo bit, and is the mist-ocean chocograph in the forest or the lagoon? I've been digging in both but it's not coming up.

It is not fun! I hate that bloody chocobo, kweh?! Kweeeh?! KWEEEEEH! I want to kill the person who thought it was a fun idea to hide a chest in the middle of the ocean.
It makes the game more interesting and varied though

Chocobo hot and cold is one of my favourite mini games in all the final fantasy series. If you need help finding where to dig, theres no shame in googling clearer images of chest locations.
You get some of the strongest items through chocobo hot and cold and it is most certainly something that will help you throughout the game if you put in the time and effort.

Agreed. It might be time consuming but you can obtain some awesome and rare items. I love chocobos so I can't really complain about this mini game
