Do you think materia orbs/spheres/balls/ would hurt if you chucked one at somebodys head?

Yesterdays topic got moved. But for today I have to ask if you think it would hurt to bean someone in the head with a materia orb/sphere/ball whatever u wanna call it. I think it would hurt like hell because they seem pretty solid.

They look like giant glass marbles, and those things hurt when they hit you in the head. So yeah I say they would.

There is a scene in ff7 where Sephiroth throws destruct materia at cloud and it hits him in the stomach. Cloud was winded from that as he fell to one knee. So I assume materia which is condensed mako energy to be a very solid substance.

When Sephiroth kills Aeris, the holy materia from her fair falls down the step things leading up to them, and then into the water. The way it bounces, it sort of seems like a bouncy glass substance, although that could be from the surface of the steps. Something that is dense yet light/malleable enough to bounce might hurt if it is thrown at you (due to the density), but the squishyness would absorb some of the impact. So I dunno.

Marbles can be pretty bouncy.

What about the Huge Materia? You lob that at someone's head it would probably take it clean off.

It makes a thud noise. Much like a glass marble hitting bone. So I'm assuming it'd hurt pretty bad, depending how hard it was thrown.

I was looking for someone to say something about the Cure/Revive material. It be pretty funny to fast ball one of those and hear that person say, "That felt uplifting"!
