Is After Years Worth It?

I have FFIV 3d version but don't know if I should also grab the 3d After Years. Is it worth getting? I've heard it's not as good as the vanilla FF4. What are some of it's shortcomings? For one, it's missing extra dungeons from PSP's version.

I haven't finished it yet but omg this game is good.

It's everything from IV but cooler. I loved how they did the story. To put it in simple terms. You start off as Cecil's kid, then after you do his story, you save it and you start another characters story and save it. At one point in the game, you combine every save file from the stories into one and you gain everything from them. It's good and I remember going OH SHI- at a couple parts of the game. I cheered at a few parts. This game is worth it.

I let my friend borrow it with my PSP because he wanted to try it, I now want to get it back from him to finish it haha.

I'll hopefully be getting it as part of the IV Complete Collection on the PSP. I'm playing the II remake on it now and based on how everything looks and sounds on it I can't wait to play this version of IV.

I bought the Collection for PSP. The interlude was fun to play as well.

As someone who's not really fond of Final Fantasy IV I do suggest you buy this game. However, The Complete Collection for PsP. You get two games for the price of one. The After Years is surprisingly great addition. New characters are likeable and it has a decent story with several well done twists. The only issue I could come up with, near the end of the game they clearly ran out of ideas, you are pretty much bombarded with boss battle after boss battle, the ones you fought already and the recycled ones from other titles. Graphics wise the entire package is simply gorgeous, some of the best sprites out there for sure.

I have the PSP bundle, but never got to it. I beat the interlude, but it was too short. It was building up to this relevation of a new conflict and then it just ended. I like the 3d versions alot though so maybe I'll buy and play that first.
