Zelda producer changing the traditional structure in the series with new zelda game

You know how in all the zelda games you would be running around a field and going into dungeons and after you complete the dungeon you would come back out and go to another place? Well it seems that Eiji Aonuma (main Zelda producer) is planning on trying something new with the series.

Heres the source of the information. Zelda Wii - New Info - E3 2010 Reveal? on VGChartz.com

So the question is this, would you guys be ok with the change of flow in the new zelda or do you prefer the traditional structure that the other games follow?

I'm always open for change. I've played so many Zelda games, but I still love them. I loved Ocarina, it was the best one when it came out. Then Twilight Princess came out, and it's now my current favorite.

That being said, I'm all for the "out with the old, in with the new". It will still be Zelda.

Well, I don't really know what the changes are yet, as the article doesn't say. He says he's gonna change it up, but what about the formula is he gonna change up? So I won't really know what I think until they make that reveal. I trust Nintendo to make a great game, as they generally do (especially with the Zelda series) so I'm not really all that worried about it at this point. Anyhoo...

Looking forward to it! The series itself has a lot of potential, and I think its great that Aonuma and Miyamoto are really trying to come up with something fresh for us every time. If it works, awesome! If it doesn't, well, we never would have known unless they tried.

They're going to make some changes? Well, it's about time if you ask me. I'm big Zelda fan and after all this years I would like to see a Zelda game who isn't a pure copy of the previous ones only with minor differences.

This just might be the one, we'll see...

I personally would buy it no matter what they decide to change up. People were skeptical about Windwaker when it was released because of the more cartoony style, but that was definately a solid Zelda title, and my favorite in the franchise.

Altering the original formula!?!? Then I'm very happy. Why? because they have been reusing that same formula of go dungeon, New item, beat boss, back to field, repeat..

Now, finally they're changing... I look forward to it.

As long as it doesn't get incredibly tedious, then it's all gravy. I loved Windwaker, but absolutely hated the entire process of finding each shard of the triforce, by finding a chart, making the money to get it interpreted and then taking the boat out to find it, and then repeating that process 7 more times.

I'll be happy with any changes, so long as they're not just for the sole purpose of making the game 3 hours longer. I really liked how in Twilight Princess Link finally seemed to mature a little and become a little "darker." Maybe it was the fact that he could finally finish off an enemy laying on the floor, but I loved it.

I like the dungeons, but I would love for it to leave Hyrule. I'm so sick of the Zora's and the Gorgons and all of that. I loved Windwaker because it felt a little different from the same ole, and was still a Zelda game, but I would LOVE for the game to be something completely different, so long as they just don't decide to make it like an fps set 2000 years into the future.

Hey hey now, what's wrong with making the Zelda series into a game like this?

Then again this one is kind of on the outs with me if she doesn't straighten up and fly right so that means I will be back in it for the thrill of the kill. Got some in the reserves. Even got a rePETEr (<---- like that ay? AYYYYY?) on the back burner.

Block: I do like the rePETEr except it kinda makes it sound like you're going to pork Pete. No homo.

Sounds pretty pimp to me, Gorons and Zoras from outerspace! The Master Sword being a gun or a spaceship.

    Call up Miyamoto, Pete!
