    Your thoughts on Uncharted 2?

    Okay...
I just got Red dead redemption, Bayonetta and Uncharted 2 yesterday...
    Fail on 2 parts.

Uncharted 2 however is the biggest fail.

The story seems good and there is humor present. But the controls are horrible. THe pacing is horrendous. The tasks are tedious. What could have been a good game to me has lost it's credibility as a great game...
Should have known, since I hated part 1 with a passion.

These are my feelings on the game, so no "You must be crazy", That will only show ****iness on your part.
So irritated. Waited 45 minutes to download all 9 updates, waited 15 minutes to get online Mp,...

It was just over hyped for what it is.

Oh and Red dead redemption, sucks. Again it is the controls, and the horrible screen tearing and lag.

You would think that a Triple A game producers would create great games.
*Murders their families and stabs their pregnant wives stomachs*
    Sorry, just angry.

Your pathetic existence will shut down. I will make your lives end in ruin. Fear me, as you fear death. Not a threat, not a promise, but what must be finished. 7 final arcs...

    You're entitled to your opinion.

I completely disagree with everything you said in your post concerning Uncharted 2. The updates, I could see as being annoying if you are only buying the game now, but Uncharted is a wonderful experience and probably one of my personal favourites for the PS3.

I honestly don't see what problem you have with the controls, they're pretty similar to the average FPS, except, y'know, in 3rd person.

OK I can only take so much of my personal 2009 and 2010 games of the year being abused. You are being way too hasty on any assessment of these games. Stick with the idiom that class always shines through and persevere and you may see them for the gaming masterpieces they are. Its not like you are in the majority so try to see the games in the same light as the rest of us and you might appreciate the brilliance.

Re: Your thoughts on Uncharted 2?

Uncharted 2 and Red Dead Redemption are ****ing awesome games. I not once had a problem with the controls, which aren't as problematic as you're claiming.

The first Uncharted game was excellent, but you only noticed that the controls were iffy when you played the second game, when the improvements were quite dramatic, really. The graphics was greatly improved in the second game too, which made it the best out of the two in my opinion, and I'm really excited about the third game to see if more has been improved.

The only things that I didn't like about them was that they were too short, and could be completed in perhaps ten hours on Crushing if you know what you're doing. Also, getting online does take a while, but it's a lot of fun when you're actually on.

I've platinum'd both Uncharted games too, so I've spent enough time with these games to know them more or less inside out, and know what you're claiming is pretty false. I wouldn't have bothered if they were a nightmare to control.

As for Red Dead Redemption - the controls are realistic - watch the movements, learn to roll, etc... I found GTA IV no different. Just because you can't do a backflip and shoot things at the same time, doesn't mean the controls are shite.

There's no lag out of the millions of times I've played it (again, another platinum I own as of the other night), so you might want to check your internet speed. There's been a couple of times I've been booted from free roam due to loss of connectivity with other players, but that's so rare, it's ridiculous to mention.

And if I make a "bad" game, and someone comes after my family and hurts them, they'll suffer - there wouldn't be a corner to hide in.

    This will be fun...

The controls are clunky as I said. They aren't smooth and make the game horribly paced. Then again, I only made it past the stealth mission, which is enough to throw me away. Perhaps a game should you know, get your interest at the beginning? I hate DmC, and GoW, but I like Bayonetta from the beginning, which means they did something right.

I said I hated the first one, never said I didn't notice the horrible controls from the first. The graphics are amazing and really is a strong point. Along with the nice Voice acting and from what I can tell, the story.

I can't say really about the online. I am used to fast paced online experiences, as in CoD, so I won't say anything about it's online, other than the health problems in which they stated as well.

Didn't I state that these were MY opinions? So the controls were good for you. That's good, they were bad for me.

I didn't even play Red dead redemption, which could be called nonsense since I already hate it. Never said the controls are bad, if I did, I meant the horrible wiring of each item. Not the way the game set up the controls, the way the game plays.(RDD)

The lag and Screen tearing are not due to internet as I am talking about single player, not knowing there is 2 player on Red read redemption.
I remember watching my friend play, and seeing the frame rate hop horribly.
Simple things like that are enough to throw my anticipation away.

Ahh, and if I had the forceful will to to find somebody and kill them, I would succeed and there would be nothing to stop me, and no retaliation would come my way.

See, I didn't like the controls of Bayonetta, but that was just me.

Yes, and my post was my opinions also. If you didn't want them, then you shouldn't have started the thread. ;p

...how can you hate a game you've never played?

    Also, yes, you did:

It's not that horrible. That's just you being picky.

When you quoted me, you challenged my opinion with yours. You were explaining why your opinions outweight mine OR rooting my opinion.

I might be picky because I am going to be a game developer and basically trained myself to look for these things, but then again, you have to be blind not to see the screen tearing, especially in the beginning. Next time, go by a moving train and look at the smoke pillars... O.O
    Horrid.

And that was a problem how, exactly? The health system in game worked absolutely fine, in my opinion. If you're someone who's going to run right out into the open and hope for the best, then your health will go down quickly. Drake is a hero, but he's not stupid.

I didn't aim for it to be a challenge. I simply stated that I don't necessarily agree with your opinion of the game. Considering you barely played any of the games you criticised in your post, I now disagree even more because of the integrity of your opinions.

    Phoenix Down's aren't pre-emptive.

The screen tearing is minimal. Compared to games like Fallout New Vegas, RDR is flawless.

Are you sure you wish to be a designer and not a tester?

Well, it doesn't really matter if I got far. I don't like the controls. Integrety has nothing to do with this opinion

I'm not used to it. It was harsh. I don't know why it's here, which I aim to find out more about.
