The majority of the folks involved with Xenogears work for Monolith Soft which is, sadly, now a subsidiary of Nintendo. If there is going to be a new Xenogears/saga game, chances are Testuya Takahashi and Soraya Saga aren't going to have anything at all to do with it. Takahashi is pissed at Square for rushing Gears, and Saga is pissed at Namco for basically giving her the proverbial finger halfway through Episode II's development.
