Sega announced today that they will be bringing the latest in the Valkyria series to North America and Europe. It will have a slight title change to Valkyria Revolution, meant to keep it a little closer with Valkyria Chronicles, but it should be remembered that this is not a sequel to the Chronicles series, but a new stand alone game working with the similar lore, but in a different world. Revolution also moves away from the turn based RPG strategy elements of Chronicles focused more on being an action RPG, though fan feedback did have them returning some of the favored elements that fans enjoyed of the series. They did say the name and spin-off were intentional as it was not meant to be like the original trilogy of games, but something different.
Valkyria Revolution will be releasing in the West next year in the second quarter, with no solid date announced, while Japan is getting it in January.

I'm reserving judgment until I play the game. Like many, I wanted Valkyria Chronicles, not an action RPG. Hoping that the push back they got from fan feedback pushes it more to being strategic like the previous one.
