Tales of Xillia 2 Coming to the West!

This morning, Namco confirmed the release of Tales of Xillia 2 in European regions in 2014. Ideally, this means we'll see it in the Americas as well! (And if not, well, we'll all just have to import copies from the UK. Except for those of you already there.)

Though most everyone here hasn't yet played Xillia as it's only seen light in Japan... if you have played it, does this excite you? I'm excited to know that we'll get the whole story. When Xillia was first announced for international release, this was a big concern. Even if I have to import the second half, just knowing I can eventually get it without having to keep a translation guide handy is nice enough.

So, what are your thoughts? Surely I'm not the only one who is excited!

Well, as someone who does some PR work for Namco (by that I mean I get info from them and do write-ups/blog posts) I can say with 100% certainty that them announcing it for Europe does include the Americas! They have told us that the news being announced at Japan Expo will be for both North America and Europe. I'm very glad that they announced it when they did because I was going to be importing Xillia 2 shortly after finishing Xillia 1!

The best thing about this that gets me super hyped is that there are side-stories focusing on each of the characters. And cats! There are Tales-character-themed cats in the games that you can get to run errands for you! There are also different endings depending on the choices you make as Ludger. I absolutely cannot wait for this.

Tales of Xillia looks really interesting. I remember watching a trailer for the first one way back when it was coming out in Japan and it looked amazing and the battle system blew me away too which is what exactly got me back into the tales games and what brought me into buying Graces F which I still have yet to finish. Cool that we may get both of them. Fact: I believe there is DLC for the first title that allows you to get the costumes from Tales of Phantasia and Destiny for your characters to wear.
