Silent Hill HD remakes.

So I saw a post on FB about it and decided to look a little into it. I completely missed out on E3 coverage and everything pre and post conferences. From what I have this series is one of 3 that will be making a reappearance in HD. Zone of the enders and Metal gear solid being the other two. Sadly though all three will NOT include the original titles. WTF?

So I was thinking an HD remake of SH2/3 would be epic anyways. Given three will not make a whole hell of a lot of sense for those that haven't played part 1. Nastalgia is kicking in and I am actually getting excited about it.

Has anyone else heard about the HD remake? Any news that I have not covered? Are we going to see some extras in game and out of it that will come with the PS3 Exclusive (for now) release of this classic horror title compilation?

I still need to play the SH1 remake.

I would definitely buy something to play the HD remakes.

**** 3, remake 4. 4 is my favorite. But as long as 2 gets remade, I'll be happy. I can play 2 all the time.

I'm all for HD remakes, but to be honest both Silent Hill 2, and 3 still look pretty darn good. I have yet to play Silent Hill 3, this might be a good opportunity for it, if they release it for X-Box 360 that is, if not, there's always PS2, and PC version.

I'm really psyched about this. Like Loaf, I wish 4 made it into the mix, but 2 and 3 are certainly welcome. I also read somewhere that they are getting improved voice acting, which as much as I love those games, they sorely need.

From what I read in the articles they are indeed revamping the voice acting and they are remastering the sound track too. I hope they add things to the game play and what not but hope they do try to revamp the story.

I'm really looking forward to these as I've been wanting to replay through them and this will give me the oppitunity to do so. I am a little sad that they haven't included Silent Hill 1 with this set though.

They did, it's called Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Even though they changed parts of the game. It is probably the only remake for 1 we will ever get.

I've only played Silent Hill 2 once but it was a good scary game. (If that's not a contradiction) I look forward to seeing remakes in HD. (Although HD means little to me, as far as I'm concerned, this only makes getting ahold of SH 2 and 3 easier.)

Why no MGS one though!!! I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that this is the fault of the gamecube remake of MGS... Grr... Oh well though.
(Horrible timing, I just went to gamestop and got MGS2 and 3)

Another "remake" of any Metal Gear (Solid) game and I will kill myself.

Gamecube was a terrible remake. Actually, nothing in that series should have been remade. Waste of money.

I really hope they don't do what hey did with Silent Hill 1, with 2 and even 3. (I'm pretty sure the 3 HD Remake will follow the remake for 1) but if 2 gets anything changed, I will be a furious fan.

This is exciting news! Sure, i will still have to procure a copy and play through the first Silent Hill game beforehand, but regardless i am looking forward to obtaining this for my PS3!
