Shining Force 1&2

Hey i was just wandering if anyone has ever played any of the shining force games? I ask because i think there are very good games if oyur a fan of final fantasy tactics type of game. Fopr me it was the first rpg game ive ever really played and it's kinda what got me into them in the first place i just wanted to know if anyone has ever play them and if so what did you think about it?

but my first rpg game was ff8 and ever since rpg is my first choice in games

Never speak of Shining Force EX again. Never. It was Shining Force in name only.

Shining Force is my favourite series of all time. Hands down. The original was the first RPG I played and the first game I beat on my own. The second one was better in every way than the first and the third was an under appreciated masterpiece of gaming (albeit the second and third episodes being Japanese only).

I've beaten both 1 and 2 more times than I can count and to this day still have urges to go back and replay them. I own an original copy of each as well as two digital copies of each (one each on the Wii and they both came in Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for PS3/360).

It remains the only strategy RPG I've played that lets one explore towns and a world map (do any others?). In short: these games roxxorz my soxxorz.

That's my fanboy spiel for the day.
