Play it! Beat it! I played Grandia III for a while, but the story and what not was too cheesy for me, and FFXIII came out, so i stopped. Now I'm goin in a time machine alll the way back to final fantasy II. =]
But grandia is fun, play it!!!!
I started playing it last night - old school graphics - take me back to childhood
I found it a couple weeks ago from when I was little and I never really played it when I was little, so I whacked it on t'old ps2 and had a blast...
Was wondering if anyone remembers it and if they do is it worth the time to play it???

the game gets great reviews i am going to download it soon too my psp..i love the classics and this one is supposedly really good
Play it!!
This game is so damn good, And quite challenging, You have to put your tactical brains up for this, Have you yet discovered the 2 hidden areas?
I'll tell you, Much later in the game, There's an castle, In that castle, You will face tough enemies, And a major boss, But if you beat it, You will recieve an Lightning Sword, It's among the best swords right after the Spirit Sword.
In the other area, Which... i don't know where it is... But it's an tower with bosses... I belive you get prizes for beating each.
That's all i know but... It's an MUST play game! Trust me.
My Reaction of People That Points The Obvious
This is my Daily Day in 2FortMy TFF Family:

Darn, this is one of the few PSX games I'd definitely get again, alongside Suikoden II and Xenogears. Brings back memories, although I consider the first Grandia to be of a greater quality than the successors. Grandia II wasn't exactly what I found on the original one.
I dunno exactly why the first is so good, although it must be the HUUUUUUGE story (I mean, the story for the game is pretty immense, from the first town to the End of the World...and beyond!! I don't think it should be a spoiler anymore), or a few of the characters (namely, Milwa and GADWIN! Maybe Feena, but just a bit). Maybe it's the combination of zany and serious in each of the chapters; perhaps the greatest example of zany is the Sue and Puffy's combined cheerleading dances of boosting...or perhaps Nana, Saki and Mio, the three incompetent officers from the large army. Then the serious part right facing the very end.
I found it long, but I found it very interesting. It didn't felt stretched at all, and despite how brutally linear it is (given that you couldn't return to earlier towns), it allowed to ask for more.
I actually found one of the secret dungeons (and gladly enough, they tell you it's one of the secret dungeons), but I was renting the game and sadly couldn't enter at it. I believe it was the cave secret dungeon (not the Tower secret dungeon). I also like how everyone grows a bit, and the secrets that are revealed.
Oh, and...even though I had it, I could never use End of the World T.T
Delivering scathing wit as a Rogue using Sneak Attack.

The Final Boss Theorem:
'Tis a shame I can only place names now...:
Nomu-baka, this is FAR from over...:
Tis an awesome game, I never got round to completing it, may do so this weekend! I prefer it to the second one, which I finished some years ago. But yeah, play it if you get the chance to!
I'm actually re-playing it now and was just wondering if anyone knows what the connection between how many times you have to attack using a certain weapon/magic and levelling up - I've just arrived at Dom Ruins and everyone hasn't had their magic very long, (apart from Feena's fire) and was just wondering if I'm gonna just have to use them a whole bunch of times before I get to the good stuff lol?

Gypsy Mel got me into playing Grandia, I'm not that far. I've been stuck on other games at the moment. But so far I like the game. I'll have more feedback in a few weeks.
