Favorite Video Game Crossovers/Cameos

Crossovers in video games can be pretty cool. Being able to play one of your favorite characters outside their typical franchise or even just seeing him/her/it in a cameo appearance is something that I'm sure most gamers have gotten excited about at one point or another. So, here's a question for all of you: What are some of your favorite video game crossovers/cameos?

Here's mine:

Kingdom Hearts - Being able to interact with some of my favorite FF characters? Yes please! The Disney stuff was pretty cool too.

Super Smash Bros. - It's pretty cool being able to play iconic/favorite Nintendo characters and duke it out among your friends. Though I'm not much of a fighting game fan, the novelty wore thin after so long, but it's still fun to play every once in a while.

I also got a kick out of seeing Link in Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars. I never knew that Samus was also in the game until recently though!

Smash Bros for the nintendo characters

Dissidia was a pretty cool crossover for having all the main FF heroes all together for the ultimate battle (this is the ultimate showdown, of ultimate destiny... sorry, had to do that hahaha)

I like how Mr Saturns appear in different games. They're in Earthbound/M2, Mother 3, and they also appeared in smash bros which is pretty neat.

I've never played this title but it sounds like something i'd get into, its called Ys vs Sora No Kiseki where i guess its Ys characters and Legend of Heroes characters in a game together.

My last favorite thing was the appearance of the N64 in DKC3, I thought that was pretty cool for something like that to be in a SNES game.

My particular favourite crossover was snake appearing in Super Smash Bros Brawl. Metal Gear seems to have quite a few crossovers, like monster hunter in peace walker, a MGS level in a skating game Konami did a few years ago( I think it was called "Evolution Skateboarding) as well as a raiden costume available in the new assassins creed.

I also appreciate Darth Vader, Yoda and Link appearing on different platforms for Soul Calibur IV. It was pretty sweet being able to play as Vader in a first class fighting game.

My favourite one is Dissidia. Just all my favourites battle it out against each other was something special.

Super Smash Bros is great too. So many awesome characters, such as Ness, Kirby, Link, Captain Falcon etc battling each other is great.

While the Kingdom Hearts series is pretty much full of cameos, I love seeing Sephiroth and Squall. It's always good to see them appear in those games.

One cameo I liked, while not the character himself, but in GTAIV, you can have Niko dress as Claude from GTA III, with the leather jacket and green trousers. I thought it was really cool because GTA III is a great game and it was a bit of a blast from the past.

Super Smash Bros. Melee is the reason that Fox McCloud is my favorite video game character, pretty much, so that there. I had played Star Fox Adventures before I played Melee and enjoyed it a lot, but Fox in Melee is awesome. Also, Fox in the original Smash. Brawl... I think they nerfed him a bit. So yeah; Smash is a fun series. Love playing as Fox in basically a Kirby setting with some other nintendo elements thrown in (Subspace Emissary.) "There Will Be Brawl" was also really cool, although Luigi or Mario was probably my favorite in that (or Ganondorf, or Samus, or Captain Falcon... or Fox. Even though he's really different and weird.)

Link in Soul Calibur II was kinda cool, though I moved from him to Nightmare eventually (and from Nightmare to Yoshimitsu.) Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is also pretty awesome, even though I suck at it. (Fun to watch...?) Looking forward to Nathan Spencer, Deadpool, Agent Wesker, Amaterasu, and the knight from Ghost and Goblins in the next one.

Kingdom Hearts was fun when I played it, although the Final Fantasy characters seemed almost like an afterthought most of the time. Never played any of the other games in the series, though from what I've heard, the coolest cameo has to be

EDIT: Oh yeah! Although I don't play the Street Fighter games all that much, I think it's pretty cool that Cody, Guy, Rolento, and Hugo (Andore) live on through SF after their series has died (Final Fight.)

super smash bros - always amusing to see link beat up on jigglypuff.

kingdom hearts - i honestly was very hesitant to get play this game because i CAN'T STAND disney movies/stories. but add in a little FF cameos in there and it was, at first, tolerable. then it got fun after a few hours when i realized there was actually a good story going on. i agree with telegraphs spoiler...i actually verbally squealed when that individual came into play. i kid you not...it was both embarrassing and amusing

and one that nobody has mentioned....

itadaki street - DQ vs. FF editions - if you dont know what it is...its basically monopoly. i have yet to get the ps2 version but i got the psp one this past spring and its great. each map (board) is either from a DQ or FF game with the appropriate music. i can honestly say its the only game where yuffie can talk smack to basch theres no storyline but having characters from the 2 series' do monopoly is quite amusing

I don't have many crossover/cameo games, but I like the ones I do have.

Soul Calibur IV. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but it was pretty cool playing as Darth Vader.

Kingdom Hearts II. I still can't beat Sephiroth. ><
