    Favorite KH battle system

Thought I'd bring this up, I've been getting back into the KH series after a really long break from it. What battle system that was utilized in the KH series so far was your most favorite?

My top favorite is the one utilized in Birth By Sleep (also used in Re: Coded). The whole leveling abilities idea is really fun and combining max level abilities to make new one really keep me enthralled. Before then KH was all hack, slash, hack, slash until the enemy is defeated and you learned equipable abilities along the way and that does get a little dull after awhile. Of course its still like that in the other KH titles but there are new twists to the system.

My least favorite is the Card system from Chain of Memories. Seriously, it was the dumbest idea for an action rpg title. You have all these random cards with different numbers and you had to constantly try to get the higher number than the enemy. The whole system is a mess and there's really no strategy to it when you're smart enough and equip everything that has the number 9 to it.

There's obviously more to it than just having cards with high numbers in your deck. First of all, your deck is limited by specific number of cards you can carry, in other words you have to think carefully what kind of deck you want to assemble. There's also huge variety of magic, item and summon cards, and depending how many you have in your deck and in which manner you unleash them you have various effects, for instance for unleashing 3 Cloud cards all at once you get Omnislash.

As for the cards with numbers, the keyblade on them bears more importance than the number itself, a card with low number but strong keyblade is often stronger than the card with high number but weak keyblade. So you see, you're not only stupid for insulting something you don't understand at all but Chain of Memories has more strategie to it than any other Kingdom Hearts game where all you do is pretty much mash button X.

I've always prefered the way KHII was set out. It had quite a large improvement over KHI and definately CoM in terms of freedom of movement. KHI just limited to you looking left and right and jumping. It had pretty much become hack and slash but I never found it too repetitive. I really like leveling up the Formes to get access to their abilites, but they really aren't needed to complete the game. I miss the exploration and interaction with the enviroment in the first game though.

Thats just it, I don't care about the card system at all, nor do I want to understand it (maybe in a game like Mega Man Battle Network which is something entirely different) but not in an action rpg that already exists.

And I would take it as a perfectly valid opinion if you only had perfectly valid reasons to bash it instead of calling it a mess because you don't get it, at all, nor wish to get it which in my book is downright stupid, thus I called you stupid and I still stay at my initial insult.

I was thinking that since I'm artificially creating it, I'll create it with rocket fuel instead of blood, and thus it will be able to fly, using the dolphin's dorsal fins as wings. And from the air, it will look down upon us all and protect us against sharks, and search for bananas.
