Demon Souls: Hardest Second Boss ever!

This game is very unforgiving to say the least. The second boss though is just crazy. Has anyone played this game? I am stuck on the Tower Knight. He has this shield bash move that one shots my character. Its crazy I usually don't stuggle with these games but a One shot? and on the second boss. Maybe I am just playing the boards out of order or something. Any help would be awesome. Or is there anyone else that struggled through this game and its just that difficult and I have to play better.

The Tower Knight is a pretty rough fight. I definitely made it my second fight. The way I beat him originally was using ranged attacks from the top of the wall where all of the enemy archers are sitting. It'll give you safety and distance from him. You'll have to be careful of his ranged attacks, but he telegraphs them really well so just watch him for a few minutes to understand how he moves. That's the best thing to do. After that get the timing down and you can fire arrows while he is moving his shield away from his body.

The other option is to use magic if you have the ranged spell. I forget the name, but that is really good and combine it with the arrows and you shouldn't have any troubles. It'll take awhile, but you'll fell him with safety. It is possible to take him down up close, but you have to fast on your feet. The other option would be to co-op with some people and get them to help you out. After you revive.
