Just added you to my Steam FL, Zan, though after Sunday I may be off for like a week due to moving house.

    My Assassin (named LOKI, props to the Mechs in Mass Effect 2.. similar build, skinny/robotic like Zer0.) is sitting on level 29 last I logged in.. feel like I'm getting close to the end, start a new file on either Commando or Gunzerker. I feel like everyone is jumping at the Siren so it may be a illuminating experience to play something outside the mainstream. In regards to my Assassin though. I have poured all my skillpoints into critical hits, melee, backstab.. I've managed to pull off a 13000~ damage melee/critical/backstab attack during a Final Wind last night.. I was like.. dude @_@;;

Counterstrike 5/5 - chance of critical hit after being hit, 250% damage
Killing Bl0w 5/5 - +500% melee damage when target is at low HP (like 20% ish)
    Ir0n Hand 5/5 - +15% HP/melee damage
Class Mod has +24% melee damage, and 2 Killing Bl0w, 2 Ir0n Hand skill.

Some artifact that ZRO found for me, Melee +14% or so.

Ontop of all that, the Decepti0n grants a +650% melee damage bonus (or) +200% gun damage / +250% critical hit gun damage.

Needless to say, using Deception while the mob has low HP and striking them from behind? ... yeah, its probably gonna die.

Just started this at a buddy's place. Playing as Zero working with a melee spec, with some point blank explosive shotgun hilarity weaved in. On one of the first groups of Bullymog I fought in the game, I got an Orange Grenade mod that makes 8 child grenades, so I've been having fun with those. The way they spread out, LB has pretty much become the "**** everything in this room" button. Haven't had much trouble with nomads. Shotguns with explosive bonus seem to shit on them pretty hard. I can pretty much run up to em, blast em in the face a couple times, then finish em off with a melee hit, which do heavy damage on low health targets thanks to the happy talents in the melee tree.

Tbh, I liked the Siren in BL1 better. That's just me though. The Phaselock is neat, but I liked the Phasewalk better.

Did anyone get the Premiere Club stuff? The Mechromancer looks neat. I might build my Siren until she's available.

\,/ The only reason why I went with Siren to begin with was I thought I was going to have to stare at her back-side. I'd have to explain to every fruit-loop why they do it like they want to stare at a man's booty throughout the entire playthrough.,, yeeeaaaah. Well with this game I'm gunning it through her baby-blues.. 3-4 years later she'll tame you tiny wipe like there's nothing worth punching. before She went invisible and every 1/5 punch stunned and enemy and every shot 1/10 stunned?? .. Now the baddest bitch lifts up anything ..I have veterans asking me how to kill big jocks and I have to explain to them .. liift him with the old generic 'phase lift.' You have to understand this new woman is 300% better than the 1st which I used to roller behind.. You lift anything up in the air... done son. you can even spec a couple points into saying "every guy I decide to pick up every 14 secs will give any 60% of his health to my friend."
I don't know how your online community plays it but all u need to go with is a few points in conditions and like in real life pop a few shots for best accuracy/crits and let ur conditions tear it apart.
    She is B E A U tiful 2:05+....

Guess I missed the spot where me liking the first siren better meant that I needed someone random person to come on and start spouting off about "bitches" and tell me how to play my game.

    ANYHOO....

So been lovin' the game so far. We've got the season pass and have been enjoying the Captain Scarlett add on.

Has anyone found the Minecraft homage? We've also seen a shout out to BioShock, Dark Souls, the "arrow to the knee" and "winter is coming" from NPC's in Sanctuary, the double rainbow theme in the Highlands (stumbled upon that one by accident ha ha ha). Love it! Anyone else found any others? I know there's TONNES!!!!

There are tons of in-game references.

    Donkey Mong
    King Mong
A pistol called Law, and a Shield called order.
A gun referencing the movie Seven.
    Ninja Turtles
Too many to name all at once haha.

Have not played the new dlc yet, have been neglecting Borderlands 2 since I beat it the first. Been playing to much League

Oh man, I know, there's a shit ton of shoutouts! That's why I was more curious as to ones that people have actually found rather than read about. We also came across the Se7en shout out with the "what's in the box" part ha ha ha.

How's everyone liking the new level cap raise and UVHM? I've heard it takes alot longer to kill enemies and you need to rely on slag way more to not run out of ammo. Also pearls are pretty frequent now, when farming loot midgets. Share your experiences. I haven't had the chance to play it yet. Too busy with enjoying FF Dimensions.

Just cleared UVHM tonight. Man was it nasty... Part of the problem is probably the fact that i didn't change weapons throughout the entire play, brought down the warrior with my level 50 legendary shit. Now that O got my assassin to 61 though, my melee spec is crazy. Having the Kunai and Many Must fall talents makes trash a joke, and the legendary hunter mod gives bonuses to stats that makes melee straight up crazy, and law and order actually keeps m alive, even going toe to toe with a badass in close combat. Haven't seen any pearlescents yet, killed a couple dozen loot midgets. Got three different etech relics though.

Zer0 is awesome. One very deadly ninja. I got him to l50 recently, but haven't beaten the game yet. Might go into UVHM with him first after all. I have the l50 legendary mod for him as well.

Anyone played as Maya? How is she compared to Zer0, Sal or Axton? I've heard she's pretty weak early on. Don't know about late game though.

She's not bad at higher levels, once you have some of the cool-down talents and shit to make better use of phaselock. She isn't really viable for solo unless you're doing a green/red or red/green hybrid build (at 61 they become basically the same build). I've actually never been a fan of the gunzerker, commando is kinda fun, but I much prefer the assassin and mechromancer. The Mechromancer is probably the most viable solo build right now. A blue/red spec with the endless Norfleet setup is devastating, even in UVHM. For anyone not familiar, that setup is the Norfleet rocket launcher, specifically the lightning version for the mechromancer, the Sham shield, and a redundant Logan's gun. The sham has an absurd bullet absorb rate (mine has a 94% absorb chance), and shooting the ground under yourself with Logan's gun lets it absorb the explosions which for whatever reason count as rocket ammo even though Logan's gun is a pistol. Add in the build natural lightning boosting, the slayer of terramorphous class mod to gt a huge anarchy cap, and suddenly every shot of the norfleet is clearing an entire room. Better still, with the interspersed outburst talent, that first shot slags anything that survives, so it gets hit even harder by the next shot. Its nasty as a solo player, you have to be trying pretty hard to die.

So how long does it take for those stacks to rise, if you keep spamming stuff with the Norfleet?

Not long at all, multiple kills per shot, and one shot eats the entire mag. Bare minimum of 1 stack per shot, just from the reload, +1 for each kill, and if you'e talented for it, each of those has a chance to give 2 stacks, maxed at a 30% chance to double stack. Biggest threat to this build is accidentally killing yourself with the Logan's gun shots when you've got a lot of stacks. Best to farm for a lower leveled version of it, since you aren't using it for damage anyways.

Edit: Also a fun trick, you can build stacks in sanctuary by spamming a low mag weapon on the target practice dude in Marcus's shop.

Bar Brawl is probably the best place to stack anarchy fast. One shot takes care of almost everyone at a time.

Hey, who's tried out the new Psycho character? Is he good, bad, the best? I bought him yesterday but haven't played him yet. Gotta finish UVHM with Zer0 first.

He's ****ing awesome. I just started playing him last night. His Action skill is ****ing crazy, I mean bosses in the first playthrough here are just a joke, running up and dropping em with 2-3 hits of the buzz axe. And he's just gonna keep getting crazier, with the second to top tier talent in the blue tree, he gets a continuous 250% melee boost, action skill is another 500%, 600% if you hit the action skill at low health... I mean it's just straight up crazy, it's like being Zero against a low health target the entire time you're in combat.... with a slight chance of accidentally hitting yourself in the face and most likely one shotting yourself. Bring a Siren friend.

I love melee anyways, I already rocked a Bloodshed Zero build, Kreig was right up my ally. yeah, he likes to **** himself with self hitting sprees on occasion, but he can put out retarded damage fast. My first solo play through UVHm as Zero was a ****ing disaster, I'm talking multiple deaths per single trash enemy. I was getting mauled by ****ing midgets half the time. Meanwhile, Krieg takes at least half the room with him every time he's up. His class mods boost the Silence the Voices skill, which is ridiculous. A perfect blue Mod gives a passive 20% melee from a tier 1 talent, with another 50% when shields are down, and 6 more points to silence, for a massive 300% more. In addition to the 40ish% bous on the mod itself, you're looking at 410% melee damage just from a ****ing class mod. with the 5 pts in those talents anyways, that's 880%. Law and order drops another 100 on, so 980%. 1020% after relic 1070% after pain is power while on fire (another hellborn talent gives melee a 50% burn chance) bonus. So, you're looking at damned near 1100% melee damage without using the BAR. You lose the weapon when you use it (which actually kinda makes it suck on bosses, no law/order healing during a rampage), so 970 + 500 from BAR puts you at 1470, 1570 if you activated the rampage at low health. 1570% melee damage pretty well shits on everything. Anything short of a raid boss is gonna be dying in one or two hits. It's just a ****ing massacre.

Edit: ****, I didn't even factor in salt the wound, that's another 150% bonus. that's a maximum possible 1720% melee bonus. Pure ****ing annihilation.

http://www.bl2skills.com/psycho.html...55150550054041 That's the build I'm running with currently, it pretty well destroys things.

I haven't started them yet, I'm actually not maxed yet, only at 56. The linked build just shows what i plan to do with my final points. In THEORY it should do really well on raid bosses. I've done Zero melee solos on Hyperius before, and he's a lot squishier than Krieg. Kreig gains a 50% damage reduction while on fire, so it would be theoretically impossible for most bosses to one shot me once I get a few hits on em them to ignite myself. Meanwhile Law and order gaining more than my maximum health per hit. The only time I should have to worry about going down is when he decides to smack himself in the face two or three times in a row... which DOES happen. Also, fun and important fact, the self hits do NOT count as melee attacks, so they don't factor in your crazy **** bonuses and one shot you, they do a relatively low amount of damage, the biggest loss is the time wasted hitting yourself not being spent reducing enemy health or increasing yours.

I've been contemplating starting the psycho... but I'm so irritated with the game if I'm honest. I got that glitch thing and lost all my heads and skins, and my Badass level went back down to zero.

Granted, Gearbox did fix that with a patch but they can't get back all the skins and heads that I got from drops etc. Blah.

The obliteration hath begun. Finished the final DLC today, and have started raid bosses with Krieg. Hyperius solo went well, none of the standard bee builds or any of that overused shit, it was pretty much pure buzz axe chucking down to 33% at which point it just becomes a matter of outhealing his damage output. The new Grog Nozzle pistol is insane, it's a Moxxi gun, like Rubi. Rubi heals you for 12% of any damage you deal when it's equipped. The Grog Nozzle heals 64%. So I mean, wow. The fireballs I shoot out from the raving retribution Hellborn talent are doing enough damage to keep my health up even when I'm too busy hitting myself in the face to attack Hyperius. He is almost literally incapable of dealing enough damage fast enough to kill me. He'll drop me a couple times during the first 66% of the fight just due to me playing sloppily, but a few Rapier hits to one of his minions is enough for a second wind with time to spare thanks to the 50% FFYL time from Redeem the Soul. And it's nice to not have minions up once he hits 33% anyways. I expect other bosses to be a tad more difficult, but Hyperius can't handle the crazy.

I don't like the D&D fantasy setting in this game at all. It's too mainstream and spells lazy stapled jumbled mess of creativity. Pirates were ok, zombies too, but spells, voodoo and things from fantasy world should never mix with steam punk sci fi setting. What next, Mario, DK and Zelda world mixed together, just because it's "cool"? BL meets Smash Bros Arena DLC.
