Atelier Sophie's New Alchemy System is more like a Puzzle
Gust has released new information and screenshots for the latest Atelier. Each game in the series is known for mostly sticking to very similar design for their alchemy systems in each game. New entries lately have introduced more streamlined versions making alchemy less complicated and putting more control into the player's hands. The new version is the largest departure for the series showing a grid where the materials have different shapes and it becomes a puzzle to find the best layout to gain the results the player wants along with bonus spread across the grid.
Through the progression of the game Sophie's alchemy skills will improve. The book partner that she gains will become human as she gains skill and eventually be customizable through her alchemy skills.
