Atelier Sophie will be the next Atelier game
Gust recently announced the name of their latest Atelier game and given the information released so far it will not be apart of existing series, the mostly recent being the Dusk series. Atelier Sophie looks to be starting a new possible trilogy, though it is the current trend, it's not know if this will be a stand alone game or the beginnings of the next trilogy.
Atelier Sophie continues the female protagonist pattern, but is including a new partner that will not be an alchemist this time, but rather a tome that is alive. Sophie Nohenmuller is a young alchemist in her town and Prafta is a book found in her shop, but even though she has a human form she has lost half of memories. Prafta will be customizable by the player.
Atelier Sophie will be coming out for Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita and breaking their normal June release window will be arriving in Japan on September 25th, though no English announcement has been made it is a good guess that it will be arriving in the summer of 2016.
