    Puzzle games

Everyone here I'm sure has played plenty of games of this genre here and there. Which puzzle games do you find addicting and enjoy the most? and why do you like that title?

    I like the following:

Tetris - I like the clearing of lines and building the blocks up to make tetrises. The gameplay was pretty good and had me entertained plenty of times.

Panel De Pon/Tetris Attack/Puzzle League - This game series is my absolute favorite out of any puzzle game. The gameplay in this game is fast paced and pushed me to improve more and more so I can clear those matching panels and get those insane chains. I played this the most and it has a nice variety of modes like puzzle mode, endless, vs mode, clear, and time attack. Vs mode is where it gets really fast.

Dr Mario - This game was fun to play. I like how you use the matching pills to get rid of the viruses. I wasn't the best at the game but I have made it past a few levels.

Puyo Pop/Kirby's Avalanche/Mean Bean Machine/whatever other blob related names this game has - This game was another fun title, another one of those games with several different versions. Its like panel de pon where the concept is to clear objects only they fall from the ceiling. What I liked about this game is trying to chain blobs together like i do chaining panels together in puzzle league.

Yoshi's Cookie - This was another title I had fun with. You try to match all these cookies together and clear them before the pile gets too big and touches the edge of the border. I liked it because it was another fast paced puzzler and it offers different mode variations.

The only puzzle games are the ones I know from TFF and those arcade games.

Tetris is freaking addicting. I used to come home from school and play it for an hour every day before starting homework.

Block Buster is also pretty fun. It gets kind of frustrating, but in a good way once more bombs show up and you run out of ways to move around. Fun stuff to have to actually plan ahead to get through.

Oh, if you have a Wii, totally get Boom Blox. Its like virtual Janga, but with so many different twists. Seriously, its all kinds of awesome.

Other ones is Planet Puzzle League for the DS and for a guilty pleasure Pokemon Puzzle League.

    Shadow Gate.

    Info

Released in 1987 for the Apple Macintosh; Shadow Gate is part of the MacVenture series and the most popular of the package. It is a point and click adventure game that has you pick up items, solve riddles and puzzles to progress the castle Shadow Gate. The game takes full advantage of the Macintosh Motorola Processor and high resolution black and white screen.

Most addicting one for me (and probably most anyone) would be Tetris. It's fun, it's challenging, and it has a great theme song. I could play that game for hours.

Can we include adventure-puzzle games here? Because I like Professor Layton, though I only have one in the series (the second to be exact). I like how there's logic puzzles throughout the story of the game, though I did have to get some help on a few of them. I want to get the others in the series, because they're pretty enjoyable.

I haven't really played too many other puzzle games...at least not any that I can recall right now.

The Myst series was awesome, also loved the old Sierra games, Kings Quest? I think that was the name

Always liked the brain academy games too. Simple questions you have to answer quickly. Umm Tetris is fun sometimes for me, I get bored quickly though... I use to go on addictinggames.com and waste hours on stupid games during college in the computer labs, instead of writing papers. Honestly can't remember a single game I played on there though.

    Scene from a movie.
    SPOILER!!:
[Having pulled over a speeding driver.]
Mac: All right, how about Cat Game?
Foster: Cat Game? What's the record?
Mac: Thorny did six, but I think you can do ten.
    Foster: Ten? Starting right meow?
[They go up to the car.]
    Driver: Sorry about the...
Foster: All right meow. Hand over your license and registration.
[The man gives him his license.]
Foster: Your registration? Hurry up meow.
    Driver: [laughing] Sorry.
Foster: Is there something funny here boy?
    Driver: Oh, no.
Foster: Then why you laughing, Mister... Larry Johnson?
    [Foster stares at him.]
Foster: All right meow, where were we?
Driver: Excuse me, are you saying meow?
    Foster: Am I saying meow?
    Driver: I thought...
Foster: Don't think boy. Meow, do you know how fast you were going?
    [The man laughs.]
Foster: Meow. What is so damn funny?
Driver: I could have sworn you said meow.
Foster: Do I look like a cat to you, boy? Am I jumpin' around all nimbly-bimbly from tree to tree? Am I drinking milk from a saucer? DO YOU SEE ME EATING MICE?
    [The man is uncontrollably laughing.]
Foster: You stop laughing right meow!
Driver: [Stops and swallows hard.] Yes sir.
Foster: Meow, I'm gonna have to give you a ticket on this one. No buts meow. It's the law.
[Rips off the ticket and hands it to the man.]
Foster: Not so funny meow, is it?
[Foster gets up to leave, but Mac shakes his hands at him, indicating only nine meows.]
    Foster: Meow!

    Re: Puzzle games

Tetris is so addictive, I still play it all the time on my Game Boy Colour. Always such fun to play. Same with Dr. Mario. I love those kinds of games.

But my favourite of all time is Kula World. It was on PS1, where you play as a beach ball grabbing keys, fruit and all sorts of other things while avoiding spikes, drugs and falling off the grid. Such a wierd game, but I used to play it all the time. Then I lost the disc and was gutted. Now I have it from PSN, I play it in between playing PS3 games. A seriously great game to play.

    Re: Puzzle games

Ugh! I hated Kula World! I found it boring.

Of course Tetris is awesome, it can be very, very addictive or rather annoying if the game isn't going your way!

Um.. I've always liked Bejeweled, there are loads of clones of it but either way it's fun.

Hexic is great as well, I used to be so addicted to that a few years ago, spending many hours at a time playing it. It took me a while to get good at it but it's been a while since I gave it a go. I loved playing against people on MSN messenger lol.

Tetris was one hell of a game and addicting too. I was darn good at it, once getting 230+ lines
