Those look pretty rad so far. I am not sure if I am to fond of Odin as of right now even though I know he will be a bad ass. In the clip I didn't see his horse. What's Odin with out his fricken horse??????? Domo arigato mr roboto?

It was cool in the summoning sequance how the two interact and the fact that lightning slices her own summon spell with her sword.


Makes me wonder which other summons will reappear in this one.

Very tempting i really like them personally i liked one Shiva i don't like the bike at all but nonetheless Shiva is a diva mwhaha i am a poet and i didn't know it..... Odin looks good as well.

Overall I'm really liking the summons, even though it's a little weird now how they're different. But I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I have to say that when I heard that Shiva turned into a motorcycle I was all like "What? How's THAT gonna work???" But seeing it in action, I think it looks pretty cool. (excuse the lame pun, that was totally not intentional...)

From the "Hands-On" at Gamespot.com Ifrit, Sazh's summon, turns into a red sports car. That I would like to see and now that I think about it... are we going to do something very similiar to drive-by shootings against the enemies o.O? The game is looking good and a japanese release date means it's getting closer for other territories. It's almost upon us!

Wow! Siren is so beautifuL and stunning, better than Shiva, for me! And yes.. CarbuncLe is very cute! I must say.. I'm very excited to get this game.. The summons I've seen are great.. so far.. So.. I'm Looking forward for more! :-)

The thing.. that they can transform into a different thing (ex. is Shiva) is unique than the other FF games! But, if they transform I wonder if Shiva is stiLL an ice eLement.. because seeing that she transform into a motorcycLe, she Looks more metaL.. and her sexiness is gone.. I feLt it wouLd be cooL to just see their different animations attacks rather than transforming into a vehicLe, saying the fact that Ifrit aLso can transform into a sports car (woah) and Odin wiLL, somehow become the horse..

But.. it's stiLL exciting!

In my opinion the summons are ruined in this game! Much prefered the old school system and its naff how they turn into cars and such! There meant to be mystic beasts! Although the game looks great I am really against the approach on summons and this whole futuristic look.
Does anyone else prefer the older style of summons?

With the passing of TGS, there has been an update/correction on Sazh's Eidolon. As I said first that it was going to be Ifrit, however from this article Final Fantasy Experience - Archive - FFXIII Agito, FFXIII Versus, and FFXIII News Report! - GameSpot Unions it is an entirely new creature - a man in red armour of the fire element that still turns into a car in Gestalt mode.

It's definitely Odin, as seen in the TGS09 trailer. She even gets to ride Odin's horse (which doesn't look like Slepnir - the eight legged horse for some reason) and wield his sword(s?).

Slepnir's number of legs changes a lot. He has eight legs in norse mythology, six legs in most of the FF games, and four legs in FF III and now XIII.
