So, one of the trophies in the game requires that you must have, at one point or anther, held at least one copy of every equipment, item, accessory, et cetera, right? I'm at a point in the game now where I don't want to have to play all over again, since I've already invested a lot of time grinding and I'd hate to have to do it again. However, one thing that troubles me is this: when playing through the game, I sold nearly all accessories that I had no use for just for the Gil, mostly the elemental stuff, which I saw as crap. Having talked to DragonHeart, though, it seems that you need to upgrade all of them to get the next tier accessory? ^^"

So, pretty much, am I screwed by selling them all? The elemental stuff that you find in various chests and need to upgrade, is there any other method of getting them? Are there unlimited items that you can dismantle for them or anything? I've heard that there is, but I trust people who've seen it from experience more. Don't tell me my greediness destroyed my chances at the trophy this playthrough. =O

It is quite possible you've lost your chance. It is best advice never to sell any gear, it will be pretty rare that you'll need any gil going to through the game anyway. So until post-game gil is not really something that important. But either way, my research through guides and what not has not ran a complete list of all of the possible dismantle out comes since there is a significant amount of options available and variables.

So I can't say for certainly that you don't have any chance at getting the elemental accessories. The best guess would be to look through the online guides to see if there any dismantle listings available. I haven't really seen many as I said, but I have not been looking for them either, so they may be out there.

I never really worried about gil in the game. When I accepted that getting it is no as simple as killing monsters or selling stuff, I began to value it more. I used what I got in chests, and sometimes from selling those Chips. I would use it mostly for items, or upgrading. But now I realize that those upgrades were mostly useless, and probably wouldn't have come in handy until Chapter 11 or so.

I keep HEARING everyone say that its possible to dismantle a few accessories to get those elemental rings, back. As for me, I think I sold extra copies of them. (This was before the gil situation, BTW.) I might be screwed myself, but I don't really worry about 100% completion until the second playthrough, really. Then again, maybe I have all six sitting in my inventory somewhere, don't remember.

Well, Fate, better hope the gil was worth it. (I kid, but going back can't be THAT bad, can it?)

I ran a little check on the sake of curiosity and I might have found how you can get them. If you still have the elemental charms then you can dismantle those into the respective rings. It looks like they all change into the 20 Sided Dice, which you already get one, so it won't be a problem dismantling them. However, you can't buy charms, they are also an item found in treasure chests. So if you sold those as well it doesn't look so good.

I don't think it matters if they were sold. I've read this question many times on other forums, and apparently as long as you've once had them in your inventory, you can still get the trophy.

In other words, you don't need a full set in your inventory at any one time to get it.
