Dissidia Questions(Mostly opinion)

There are a few questions that I have about Dissidia. You see I just got it and I've been obsesed with it ever since.

1st of all: I think I know what Battlegen does but how do I get the items listed? It seems pretty random to me. (It's my understanding that the items appearing on the battlegen are items you can create during battle)

2nd: Did they change Gabranth's voice actor? (Personally he's my favorite bad guy and I spent all this time to get him and I dislike his voice acting. Am I just being weird?)

3rd: Is Chaos too hard? I thought this fight was RIDICULOUS and I didn't think I could win. (I had to nub Weaponmaster over and over to win)

I know the answer to your second question. Yes they did indeed use a different voice actor for Gabranth in Dissidia.

FF Wiki had this to say:

In the English version of Final Fantasy XII, Gabranth is voiced by Michael E. Rogers, while he is played by Keith Ferguson in the English version of Dissidia, who had previously voiced Gabranth's brother Basch.

I don't think you're weird for not liking it. It's your opinion. I personally have no strong feelings about it, but I do think it's odd that they decided to get Basch's voice actor instead of the original one. What's up with that?

As for the other two questions, hopefully someone more knowledgeable about the game will post and give you the answers that you need. Sorry, but I haven't faced Chaos yet, and I don't really pay attention to the stuff about Battlegen. I mostly just fight Quickplay battles.

Idk about teh gabranith question because I've never made any progress through ff12, but as for the battlegen question, it isn't too hard to make the items through it, the higher the level of the opponent (and the higher your characters luck) the easier it is. And as for Chaos, he's tough but not overly tough, once you beat him and unlock him in quick battles, just keep practicing vs him and youll get his quick battle thingie and just keep practicing and you'll be able to beat him ez.

About Battlegen, as far as I could understand...

It's not hard to full the list. All you have to do really, is fight every character. The requirements vary from Breaking the opponent to dealing HP damage, to destroying the enviornment. You can see what you can win in Battlegen. Typically, the higher level your opponent, the better the chances of getting the item. Having a Specil Day boost these chances even more helps, too.

For example, in order to make the Guts Orb, you must fight a high-leveled Tidus. (I forgot the level), but I fought him at level 100, so the chances were at max, around 30%! Anyway, the requirements were to Break him. I did so, but I didn't create it until my third break. Those percentages are vital. If you see a 0.1&, don't bother.

That's about all I can say on Battlegen. I wouldn't worry too much about it, though. There's nothing too special out of the prize, but the Orbs are necessary to make the ultimate weapons, if you have the patience.

Well, for Chaos, the first time you fight him is the most frustrating. His varied attacks definitely took some time to get used to, especially that one move where he surrounds you with flames and then shish-ka-bobs you with his sword. Thanks to spamming Firion's "Double Trouble" I won.

From then on, Chaos is pretty easy when you go for the Cosmos reports, since your characters are level 60+.......HOWEVER!!!! Shade Impusle's Chaos is a true demon from the depths of the lowest reaches of Hades. Still haven't beaten him.......


As for Battlegen, I never pay attention to that random chance item collecting stuff, ah well.....

Wait is there another Chaos I'm missing here?

The only one I know of is the one in Shade Impulse and thats the one that took me forever to kill. It's also the one I think is ridiculosuly hard...

Thanks to Dodie for the Gabranth question! I still don't think it sounds like Basch either but I guess thats just not the way they wanted it...oh well.

Ok so I unlocked the Fat Chocobo and Black Chocobo cource and I was wondering, what does this change? I put it on black chocobo cource just because I like them but now I wonder if I should change it.

Theres another chapter in the game (after you clear out everyone's chapters in story mode) called "Inward Chaos", where you have to fight one of every single character ranging from levels 90 all the way to a level 110 Chaos. They fight very much the same, but obviously Chaos being level 110 is going to make things a lot more challenging.

I've never even used Fat Chocobo course, so I have no idea, but for the black chocobo, it is supposed to keep the bird in the air for a much longer period of time, which as long as the chocobo is in the air, the Lucky exp bonuses can happen. So, if you are one of those types that can play many matches in a day and keep a high luck %age, then you can go with the Black Chocobo and get several exp bonuses in a row.

personally, I still like the hardcore plan myself, because the Black Chocobo never gets the x5 exp bonuses, and thats what I exploit to level up characters really really fast, lol.

Ah so it can change the way you level up. Well thats interesting.

I used the Fat Chocobo cource once and all the items you can get like for rewards and stuff were all pheionx pinions. Mabey it's just a couincidence, after all, I only found two items....couldn't stand looking at that fat bird...

Ok here's one.
I love Gabranth. However there is a major flaw in his fighting style. In case this is a spoiler I'll cover it but I just wanted to know....

Spoiler: Does Judge Gabranth ever get any HP attacks that are not in his EX form?

yeah, Gabrinth is supposed to be like that I guess. That's why many people use a bunch of EX gauge booster accessories to keep his EX Gauge filled as high as possible for as long as possible. His special Quickening or whatever is really confusing too.

chaos isn't all that hard even at level 110 in SI

the hard part is when he gets to level 150 in one of the duel coliseums, if you can beat him first try in this I will start worshiping you as my god and give everything I have to you
